Hotel and location:
Located close to El Prat Airport this incredibly chic and effortlessly stylish 4* is located within a 10 minute taxi ride of Barcelona`s Old Town and cruise port. A 5 minute stroll will take you to a shopping mall with a host of shops and a selection of bars and restaurants, but for a wider choice, Europa Fira metro station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and central Barcelona is easily reached in 15 minutes, giving easy access to Las Ramblas, Catalunya Square and Gaudi`s La Sagrada Familia. Barcelona El Pratt airport is just a 10 minute drive away. The hotel has a shuttle service to Barcelona(Las Ramblas). The service will be available every hour from 8am to 12pm and from 4pm to 8pm and can be requested at reception. The subway is just 100 metres from the hotel and connects to El Prat Airport, Camp Nou Stadium and the city centre.
Getting there:
BY ROAD: You`ll arrive in Barcelona via the C-32 Pau Casals motorway. Take exit 16, direction Barcelona, Gran Via, Fira. Stay on the access road until it merges with the B-18 Gran Via. Continue for five minutes until you reach the Gran Via exposition centre, Plaça Europa. Take the second exit off the roundabout, direction Fira de Barcelona. When you reach the next roundabout, take the second exit into Avinguda Joan Carles I and go straight on approximately 500 metres until you reach carrer de la Pedrosa, where you`ll find the entrance to the Hotel Fira Congress.
FROM THE PLACA CATALUNYA: Go north on Passeig de Gràcia and make a left turn into Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes. When you reach the Plaça Espanya, stay on the Gran Via in the side lane until you reach the Plaça Europa. Take the second exit, direction Fira de Barcelona. When you reach the next roundabout, take the second exit into Avinguda Joan Carles I and go straight on approximately 500 metres until you reach carrer de la Pedrosa, where you`ll find the entrance to the Hotel Fira Congress.
City Tax: The authorities in Barcelona have levied a tourist tax of 1.21 Euro per person per day (maximum 7 day charge) which is payable at the hotel on arrival and not included in the above room rate.

"This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in I will never go again"
The rooms are very shabby the room was full of bugs,crawling over me in bed I told the staff that they needed to spray the room. This request fell on deaf ears the walls were very dirty and paintwork flaking off the counter pain was dirty full of stains. I was presented with a bill for the mini bar I told her I had not had anything from the mini bar eventually she agreed I did not owe the money. All in all a crap time was had by all

"Fira (Finess) Congress"
Good place for a short stay, where you are not far from the airport and also just a short cab ride from Las Ramblas. Shuttle bus service to and from the airport included and a bus service taking you into the centr of town twice daily. Staff are polite friendly and helpful and most speak English.

Very nice, clean modern hotel, breakfast was twelve euros each,we enjoyed it,there was a choice of a full breakfast with sauage, bacon, scrambled egg.... Or fresh fruit and yoghurts, cereal, dry cured meats, pastries.... You could have as much as you wanted. Free use of spa and gym which we took advantage of. Ten minutes walk from metro station so it was easy to get into the city centre and beach. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

"Ideal place for a short visit"
Firstly I would like to state that the staff were friendly and happy to answer any of my queries. The free shuttle bus transfers between the hotel and the airport is a god send and really appreciated the fact that they were on hand 24 hours a day. The rooms were extremely clean and the area is quiet. Due to lack of greenery its suitable for a short stay. Another issue I had were the prices of the alcohol and food there, I would recommend the local shopping centre down the road which has a variety of food at reasonable rates. The spa was a bit small and there is no swimming pool which is what the hotel is missing. I would only recommend it as an ideal short stay hotel. You can get bored quite easily.

"Where is it?????"
The confusing address we received was not recognised on the GPS system we ended up going to the airport to ask the Avis staff who we rented the GPS off to help they then put in the area near were the hotel was. We followed this w couldn`t find the hotel anywhere after driving around for 40 mins we gave up and I payed ?90 to stay in the nearest hotel because it was now half past midnight! Total nightmare.
