Built as part of Edinburgh`s new town in the early 1800`s, The Place Hotel is an amalgamation of three grand townhouses within a listed Georgian terrace. Steeped in history and retaining many of its original features, the privately owned adult only Place Hotel exudes charm and character. Located in the very heart of Edinburgh, The Play House Theatre and the many shops bars and restaurants of George Street can all be reached within a 5 minute walk, whilst a 10 minute walk will take you to Waverley Station and Princes Street.

Room and hotel facilities:

All of the 45 stylish and contemporary bedrooms include en-suite bathrooms with power showers, flat screen TV`s with digital channels, free WiFi, seating area, work desk, Gilchrist and Soames eco-friendly Zero range of toiletries and wonderfully luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets with some rooms offering views towards Firth of Forth estuary. Onsite, guests can dine in the fully licensed champagne bar or sumptuous lounge area which serves bar meals as well as pre-theatre and express lunch menu`s (available on request). Due to open in late 2012, guests will have the additional choice of an onsite restaurant.

Car Parking:

The hotel offers guests very limited parking which is strictly on a request basis only and is approximately 120 metres from the hotel. Parking is charged at £12 per day and a further £6 if you wish to extend your parking to 6pm on day of departure. If parking is not available at the hotel, the nearest car park is approximately 500 yards from the hotel and is charged at £20 for 24hrs.
