The recently renovated (April 2011) 3* Val Girard Hotel is located on a quiet street on the Left Bank of Paris. The Eiffel Tower can be reached on foot in 20 minutes and the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre is only a 15 minute walk away. The nearest metro, Vaugirard is only a 3 minute walk from the hotel making this an ideal base from which to explore Paris` many attractions. There is a lounge bar open for drinks and plenty of restaurants nearby for which the hotel staff will be happy to make a recommendation. Free in-room Wi-Fi.
Getting there:
Walking directions from Vaugirard Metro: Exit station and turn right heading towards Pl Adolphe Cherioux. Take the 3rd right onto Rue Maublanc. Cross the road and your are on Rue Petel, the hotel is on the left. Driving directions from Charles de Gaulle: Head west towards Rue de l?Or. Follow signs for Paris. Merge onto the A3 via ramp to A104/Marne-la-Vallee. Take the Peripherique Sud exit, merge into Bd Peripherique. Exit towards Porte de la Plaine. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Av. De la Porte de la Plaine. Turn left onto Bd Lefevvre, then take the 2nd right onto Rue de Vaugirard. Turn left onto Rue Maublanc and cross the road onto Rue Petel. The hotel is on the left.

very helpfull staff,very clean hotel.great location.we requested a room with a view of the eifel tower (we got room no 503) and the staff pulled out all the stops and we got a room with a stunning view of the eifel tower (stunning at night).the vaugirard metro station was just around the corner with great access and very speedy to all parts of paris.my first stay in paris and the val girard was excellent newly refurbished.if you get a room facing the street you wake up to the smell of freshly baked bread in the morning.very parisian hotel and very friendly.yes the lift is small..but in no way detracts from the fantastic holiday my partner and i had...cannot reccomend this hotel enough for romantic couples.

All the staff speak English and are very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was quite small but very clean. As requested we were given a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel is in a good area with restaurants and bars close by. Would recommend this hotel.
