We stayed in one of the cottages in room 269. Room was quite small although very quaint with wooden roof beams. There was a lot of traffic noise as the cottage was on a main road and windows were not double glazed. Room was clean and room service very good. Breakfast in the main hotel next door was excellent and the staff were very friendly

"Very helpfull and polite staff"
The hotel was very nice, in a pleasant village, the food was EXCELLENT. The only problems were that the room was very hot, the heating was on even at the end of May. the traffic noise together with train and aircraft made sleeping difficult, not their fault I know but this needs considering when choosing where to stay.As I have difficulty walking I found it extremely useful being so close to the station. We booked a small double but this was more a single with a double bed and only one cup and saucer and a mug. Having said this we booked it at a cheap deal rate and only really needed somewhere to sleep for two nights whilst visiting Chelsea flower show. the quality of the food and service made up for any shortcomings. I would not hesitate to recommend if your used to city noise.
