All 12 rooms at the New Union Hotel are decorated in a simple contemporary style and feature flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi. During the day the hotel bar is a relaxing place in which to enjoy a drink and a game of pool, however in the evenings it comes alive with great music and a friendly atmosphere. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are plenty of options within a 10 minute walk for guests to enjoy a relaxing meal.

Hotel and location:

Located close to the famous Canal Street area of Manchester, the New Union Hotel is 2 minutes walk from the Palace Theatre, and just a 10 minute walk from both Manchester Central Coach Station and Manchester Piccadilly Train Station. With its central location in the heart of Manchester`s colourful Gay Village, guests can easily walk to the many shops and attractions of the city centre in around 15 minutes. With a tram stop just a couple of minutes from the New Union Hotel guests can also explore such attractions as the Museum of Football, Manchester Art Gallery and the Lowry Centre. Guests can also enjoy the bars, restaurants, bistros and clubs of Deansgate which is a pleasant 10 minute walk away along the historic Rochdale Canal. With its friendly atmosphere, the hotels own bar is a great option for guests looking for a good night out without the hassle of having to travel. Getting there:

BY TRAIN: The nearest station is Manchester Piccadilly, exit the station and turn left and follow Station Approach towards London Road. Turn right onto Fairfield Street, follow this onto Whitworth Street. After 100 yards turn right onto Sackville Street, cross the canal and then turn lefty onto Canal Street, the hotel will be ahead on the left hand side at the end of Canal Street.
BY CAR: FROM THE M6. Exit the M6 at junction 21A and follow signs for the M62 towards Manchester, merge onto the M62 and then continue onto the M602. Continue onto Regent Road/A57, follow the A57(M) to Sackville Street and take the A6 exit. Continue onto the A57(M) following signs for Ring Road/M`cr Airport, then take the A6 exit towards Stockport/Sheffield/Piccadilly/A57/A34, keep left at the fork following signs for A34. At the next fork keep right following signs for Manchester University and merge onto Sackville Street. Once you have crossed the Canal turn left onto Canal Street and the hotel will be ahead on the left hand side at the end of the road.
