All of the 50 rooms at the Citrus Hotel Eastbourne are decorated in a bright simple style with en-suite bathrooms with shower and bath and offer complimentary toiletries. Breakfast is served daily from 7am until 9.30am and from 8am until 10.30am at weekends. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant of its own, within walking distant there are many seafront restaurants, cafes and bars.
Hotel and location:
The Citrus Hotel Eastbourne is a great value hotel for visitors to this seaside town. Located on Kings Parade on the promenade close to the beach and the traditional Victorian pier. Eastbourne has 3 miles of beaches and the closest is at Grand Parade which is 7 minutes walk form the hotel. The pier is just 11 minutes walk and includes a Victorian Tea Rooms, traditional fish and chip shop and jazz lounge. Sovereign Harbour and Marina is 15 minutes drive from the hotel and as well as being a working harbour has many cafes, restaurants and shops.
Getting there:
BY CAR:From the M25 Junction 7 use the left hand lanes to take the M23(S) exit to Brighton/Crawley/Gatwick. After 1 mile merge onto the M23 and after 14 miles continue onto the A23. After approximately 16 miles use the left hand lanes to turn slightly left. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A27 slip road to Lewes/Newhaven and merge onto the A27. After 5.8 miles at the roundabout take the 2nd exit to stay on the A27. After 2 miles at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on the A27. At Beddingham Roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on A27. After 5 miles use any lane to turn right onto Eastbourne Road/A2270. At Willingdon Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Willingdon Road/A2270. Continue to follow A2270 onto Upperton Road/A259. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Grove Road and continue onto Grange Road. Turn left onto Carlisle Road and then right onto Wilmington Gardens, follow this road onto Wilmington Square and the hotel will be on your right.
BY TRAIN: From Eastbourne Railway Station walk southwest on Ashford Road towards Terminus Road and take a slight left onto Gildredge Road. Make a right turn onto College Road and then turn right again to stay on this road. Make a slight left to stay on College Road and then turn left again onto Carlisle Road. Turn right onto Wilmingotn Gardens and continue onto Wilmington Square, the hotel will be on your right.
