"5 star hotel........?"

The hotel reception what i expected, kind and polite staff opening the doors and offering any help you may need 5* ser ice indeed However the superior double room we stayed in - if im honest was no different to a premier inn room, except there NO tea o coffee facilities - maybe thats how a 5* hotel is, they must want you to order the £7 coffees to your room

"A very enjoyabe stay."

Overall, I was very satisfied and happy with my stay. The only criticism I would make was that a young man came in to check the mini bar whilst both me and my girlfriend were still in bad. A little embarrassing.

"Penny pinching Hotel"

I booked a five star hotel for my Son and his girlfriend as a treat for his 21st Birthday. My first disappointment was on arrival rather than just swiping his card they took a £100 pound deposit of him as well eating in to his spending money. I also paid on advance for there breakfast . Again for £26 you expect more than 2 rashers of bacon , 1sausage a tomato and an egg? My last complaint was in trying to arrange his breakfast the waiter could hardly speak English causing confusion. My son thought he had been charged again and had to confirm this had not happened with reception. We stay in London individually and as a family quite often. We won`t be staying at the Westbury again. So their penny pinching attitude has cost them future business .

"Central Location yet quiet "

This hotel had a good feel to it. Perfectly located off Bond Street and Regent Street so perfect for shops or the West End. A nice ambience about the place be it the lobby the bar or lounges. The bedroom was quiet , quite small but comfortable , not particularly sumptious but good . Likewise the bathroom was small but adequate. An effective over bath shower .... it did the job but at the price we paid this was a real bargain.

"Not as luxurious as you would expect for a 5 star hotel"

Tea and coffee making facilities should be providers in the room when you are paying top end for a 5 star hotel

"Outstanding!"

Stayed for one night, everything was perfect - quick speedy professional check in, luggage was taken to our room as we were dashing out to the theatre, the room was large and clean, all staff we encountered were friendly and professional. Cannot comment on the food as we ate out on the Saturday evening and also chose to have breakfast elsewhere. We did sample a cocktail in the Polo Lounge Bar tho, which was very nice. Thanks to the Doorman on Saturday evening also for suggesting a few places to go! Overall a fantastic hotel in a lovely location - enjoyed strolling along Old Bond Street! Would definately use again in the future.

"Godd old fashioned, traditional English style, comfort and service."

Met my friend, originally from London, who has lived in Santa Barbara USA for 26yrs, at the Hotel. I booked it and when I told her where we were staying she said WOW!!! It was fabulous, we upgraded to a suite as we wanted to spend the evening catching up not sitting on the bed. The breakfast was amazing and just before she left for the airport we had a lager & lime in the Polo Lounge to remind us that the next one we will have will be in Ibiza in September for my daughters wedding. Thank you.

Great stay.Staff very polite.Only issue was at breakfast, we sat down to eat, and asked what we could have off menu as we had prepaid for breakfast. Only to be told our room number was not on the list as a paid customer. Had to leave breakfast table to go and check with reception, bit embarrassing but sorted non the less. Also a massive plus that we were upgraded when we first checked in .Overall would definitely recommend this hotel, and would stay again.

"not worth the money!"

the westbury hotel was very outdated in need of freshen up, we had an upgraded room which was very expensive, I expected luxury for the price paid yet it was a glorified travel lodge! that is probably unfair towards travel lodges as their rooms are bigger than a match box and the bathrooms are bigger than a coat cupboard, which cant be said for this hotels rooms. it was tiny the bathroom could only get one person at a time in and if someone was sat on the toilet you could not get another person in there! altogether extremely disappointing and more so for my husband as he took me away for a weekend of luxury and we would of had more luxury in a premiere inn!

"Very good hotel"

So pleased we didn`t arrive when the entrance was being blocked by a black 4 x 4 - the owner seemed to be a regular - May even have been the owner of the hotel!!! Very bad 1st impression

"Excellent hotel, great attention from Renatta and Matteo Manetta on the front desk."

Great location in Mayfair, clean & cv comfortable hotel. Great value, staff were very attentive. Polo bar was a bit pricey but worth it for a nightcap at the end of a long day ! We will definately be staying here the next time we are in London.

"Great location"

We booked a superior Queen room on your page it shows this room to have a setee in but ours had 2 small chairs and a small bench chair and the other room had just one chair and a small bench chair. There was no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms you had to request this and pay £3.50 + service charge and also there is no Gallery restaurant anymore, there is a Sushi restaurant and a French a la carte, the shower is in the bath there is no seperate shower cubicle, which if you had a problem stepping in a bath this would be no good.

"Lovely Hotel and Great Staff but no Spa :("

Great hotel, very friendly staff, fast and efficient when we had a little problem with the balcony door. Shame there isn`t a spa in this hotel, would make the stay that little bit more luxurious.

Hotel is lovely great location only complaint was the fact that we had a balcony room and workmen were measuring up for what looked like new windows this all happened while we was still in our room as checking out time was 12.00 so we was disappointed with this not what you expect from a 5 star hotel .

"Fine Hotel centrally situated"

Absolutely no problem EXCEPT !! A courtesy tray Tea/Coffee in-room would complete an enjoyable experience. This should surely be standard practice without having to dip into an in-room bar which comes at an exorbitant extra .........

Tea making facilities were not available and tea was £5 per cup. Apart from that everything was superb. Breakfast was £26.50 each but booked with break was only £15 so was well worth the cost. Breakfast was amazing.

"Lovely and relaxing stay."

Had a wonderful stay at the Westbury the hotel is ideally situated for good shopping and theatres. No need for the underground to get around. Staff were friendly and breakfast in the room was just what we needed. Will definately be returning next time we stay in London.
