Due to disruption from the room next door on the first night of our stay we were upgraded to an executive suite on a higher floor. On the second night, at about 3am the fire alarm went off but as it was a hoax due to extinguishers being removed, guests were not required to vacate the premises. It has to be said that all staff were extremely helpful but the disruption for the 2 nights spolied another wise pleasant weekend.

we have stayed here a number of times, using it for short breaks to relax and unwind. Never have we been disappointed with service delivery by the staff and hotel. Rooms are excellent, beds are right up there with regards comfort, suituation is absolutely central for everything. The Piano bar is a great place to start or finish a night out, indeed, even to spend the night out. Staff are magical, seeming to appear when you need them, otherwise, you are left to your own devices. For a city centre hotel it represents really good value, and is very cost competitive for a 4 star hotel. It will certainly always be my first choice, if possible.

"Overall a wonderful place to stay - very central for visiting Belfast."
Great place to stay, excellent rooms and great food, however one or two of the breakfast waiting staff were a bit sullen and had to be prompted for coffee refills.

The hotel was well located, and the room was comfortable. However, the plunger in the hand basin did not operate correctly, and we requested it to be fixed on our way out on Fri night. It wasn`t, and we had to resort to a temporary fix. The hair dryer wasn`t working either, but the hotel provided a replacement one.

"My comment would have been excellent only for the "no parking""
Receptionist said you had no car parking when I saw on the internet that there were parking spaces available. Receptionist should be more clear by adding that "yes parking is available at a cost". We do not mind paying for parking our car once its safe.

"Smokers not well catered for, no smoking area and cafe service slow."
Did not like the way smokers were discriminated against. Booked a smoking room, was given non smoking by mistake. Was disappointed when was moved to an inferior room which was smaller and back of building but paid the same money as everyone else. Service in cafe very slow had to wait 20 mins for our order. My wife and I enjoyed our stay last August, very central and comfortable hotel otherwise.

With regards to the front of house staff they were all very friendly and very helpful with our luggage and the parking of the car - the latter we appreciated as we did not know the city. We found them very efficient.

"Great Hotel"
From the moment my wife and I arrived and had our car whisked away to a carpark by concierge staff we experienced courteousness and efficiency. Everyone in the hotel went to no end of trouble to ensure we had a good experience. The hotel itself looks a little tired in spots but overall it is very comfortable and the food is excellent. Recommended.

Hotel generally good and my room (539) was large and well appointed. The bathroom could, do with some mats or rugs as the tiles are quite cold. Also the shower was difficult to operate

The hotel was beautiful, with very pleasent and helpful staff. The room was very comftorble and facilities were excellent. The restaurant was clean and bright and the food was excellent, very well presented and exactly what you would expect from a top class hotel. Overall we had a very pleasent and enjoyable stay and would highly recommend the Europa Belfast. We will definitely be staying again.

Overall our stay in the Europa was very good,clean and good food.However we spent a lot of time hanging around for the lifts to arrive and when they did they were always full.Very poor service there and feel that this needs your full attention ASAP.

"Great Hotel,shame about the staff"
There is no doubting this is a fine hotel, but some of the staff are awful, the Piano Bar staff were poor, waited over 30 mins for a drink, while the barman had no idea what he was doing, House keeping trying to tidy the room at 09.00 on check out day, other day not servicing the room till 15.00. Some staff were very good, but the poor ones dragged the whole experience down.

"Bedroom nice, bathroom damp & smelly, breakfast cold, waiting staff unfriendly, lifts soooo slow!"
Bedroom was lovely however bathroom door had to be kept shut and not lingered in to long due to the damp unpleasant smell everpresent. Lifts (the number of floors and guests resident probably didn`t help) were so slow, you could easily be up and down from any floor while you wait on one, a couple more would be essential. Hot breakfast was rather cool and attended by rather unfriendly female waiting staff, the odd smile or indeed good morning in English would have been nice, although given the cosmopolitan ideas of the Europa speaking English is perhaps not a requirment for their staff outside of reception & reservations. Overall we expected much better and would not return, given the cheaper and surely no worse alternatives.

food in brasserie poor staff unable to speak english (most of them in brasserie in evening) more staff than customers at breakfast but no one interested in serving coffee on first morning bath not cleaned after first night. no tissues replaced small things but the things that make the difference between whether enjoy stay or not and hotel was pretty expensive to not replenish tissues etc. front desk staff and concierge excellent and duty manager offered to waive price of meal (refused by us as we were making point not trying to have money refunded) They were genuinely sorry for staff problems)

The Europa had a great food menu,clean and tidy rooms and excellent staff .the hotel is situated in the heart of the city where there is great shopping for the wives or girlfriends and also plenty of pubs and clubs at your door step.

"MY FAVOURITE BELFAST HOTEL"
This is an excellent hotel in central Belfast, directly next to the Great Victoria Bus and Rail terminus. It is also directly opposite the most famous pub in Belfast owned by the National Trust and called The Crown!! Go there!! It was built in 1849 and is a gem. This hotel is highly recommended.

"Staff unfriendly "
No wake up call as arranged at check in, girl at reception was not interested when I complained . Staff in brassiere unfriendly at breakfast ( the look I got when I asked for more coffee) The room and bathroom was lovely but an ice bucket would have been useful in the room as most 4 star hotels have ice machines on certain floors.Good central location.

"Expected better!!"
We had travelled 4 hours to get there & check in is supposed to be any time after 3 but we had to wait around until 6 because the rooms weren`t ready! Parking is not included so allow at least £30 for that! And i would not rec eating or drinking in the hotel as it`s very expensive even some of the staff adv us not to eat or drink there. Good location & the rooms were nice aswell but you`d find better & cheaper if you looked around
