"Roasted in a 12th floor room, unbelievably noisy til 4am and a duvet that smelled of stale sweat!"

The room was on the top floor (12th) and was a basic small twin room ROOM 1233. There was black mould above the window. On our return from the theatre the room was roasting, despite having left the window open. A fan was provided but useless since all it did was push around the stifling air. It also added to the deafening street noise which could be heard until past 4am, even with earplugs. The duvet smelled strongly of stale sweat. There were no curtains at the window, only integral metal blinds. Therefore the street lights and later daylight meant little or no proper darkness to the room. There was a long queue to get our room numbers ticked off at breakfast but after that it was a fend for yourself in trying to find a free table. We eventually shared a table with another couple and I gathered cutlery etc myself. Needless to say, we won`t be staying there again.

"Terrible stay"

Room small and pokey and very claustrophobic with a very small side window. No iron or iron board within room. Sent to various floors with with clothes in arms to iron clothes. Bed very uncomfortable so couldn`t sleep. Hotel more better for young backpackers. Would not stay again or recommend.

"Fantastic"

The hotel was perfect (in fact I`ve stayed there before) and would certainly stay there again. It`s central for everything - shows, shops, restaurants etc. etc.. It`s gone through a make-over at reception and now it`s ideal for everything. Would definitely recommend it.

All the staff were excellent friendly and informative. Alas the room was well below par, especially the bathroom , Shower head not in fitting Dirty grouting around bath and tiles Opened window in room to be faced with dirty withered woodwork Back of tv control broken off and replaced with black tape Door stop placed so far away from wall so that when the door was opened it rebounded back and hit you I have taken photos of the bathroom while I decide my next course of action

"No Security"

The room was small and too hot. My wife`s hand bag was taken from the restaurant while I was at the same table. Very professional thieves. They may have been told that there were no cameras. The CCTV was out of action for at least 1 week. A manager Toni arranged to meet us with security officer but he did not appear, must have known there was no film to look at.

average hotel but staff very friendly and food was good also very good location for transport links , the decor is tired and shabby although room was nice and clean , no coffee and not much tea and milk etc which was disappointing after a long journey . But we had a great stay .

"Great location"

Perfect location for visiting the West End of London and theatre land. The hotel was good but for us had a couple of issues. The Duvet was so heavy we had to sleep on top of it and secondly the breakfast was just okay and a little disorganised with with guests milling around looking for directions. Perhaps I am being a bit picky but you did ask for an honest opinion

"Highly recommended"

We arrived when the weather was really bad and cannot praise all the desk staff enough.Next morning I was concerned as to how we were going to get home to Anglesey due to train cancellations.Carlota F was very helpful and quickly went on line to produce a planned journey.Heartfelt thanks. the desk staff enough.I was really concerned as to how we were going to get home to Anglesey due to cancellations.Carlotta F could not have been more helpful .She quickly went cn line and planned our return journey.Heartfelt thanks!

"Great Hotel, "simply the best" "

What a lovely hotel, from when we arrived the staff couldn`t be more helpful, The rooms was spotless and worth every penny for a central London hotel, there restaurants are great with great prices and we ate at the Hudson House and the mixed grill was the best ive ever had, only down fall was the air con it was on over our table and our food was cold by the time we finished and the food was presented on a wooden board and the juices ran of the board and onto my shirt but that did not spoil the great food. Breakfast the next day was great and was included in our package, will be back real soon St Giles many thanks and will give great reviews on Tripadvisor.

Hotel reception and staff fine no complaints. Room itself was dirty and freezing cold. Asked to be moved which was done and a little better but not a great standard. TV was in a cupboard you couldn`t watch easily. Bathroom had `hair` on toilet and don`t mean from your head. Bed valance was filthy and stains on top bed sheet. Carpet needed cleaning and cigarette ends outside door to room. Not a very good experience and wouldn`t stay there again.

"Friendly helpful service but room was basic and very small"

A clean room but small and and not very attractive. I bumped my head on a sharp corner of the storage unit which was situated right in front of the window - definitely a health and safety issue!

"Dreadful bed"

This Hotel is in a great location, with everything right on your doorstep. Tottenham Court Road tube station just a minute walk away. Hotel lobby very smart and staff pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was really good,food hot and as much as you want. The bedrooms were a complete let down compared to the rest of the Hotel. Our room was tiny,but the bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever `slept` in.mattress way too soft,pillows soft as well. If the beds were better we would go back no problem, but because of lack of sleep, we would look elsewhere.

"St. Giles Hotel."

An excellent hotel beside Tottenham Court Road Tube. Excellent rooms. Quality Full English and Continental breakfasts. If you are a light sleeper with a room overlooking the main road; I recommend eye masks and ear plugs as the rooms only have Venetian blinds and not curtains.

"Hmmmm"

Upon arrival we were excited to see the reception/lobby were immaculate. Check in was easy and quick and we were up to our room in no time. Upon entering our room I can only describe the experience like walking into a bin area for a curry house weeks after the food was left there. The smell honestly made me heave. This then excentuated all the other problems with the room. It was tiny, there was no picture of this room on their website so felt as though we had walked into a different hotel. We headed straight down to reception and we dealt with a lady called Alexandra, credit where it is due she was brilliant. She apologised profusely and moved us instantly to a much nicer cleaner room. Either there are always issues with the room or she was just lovely. Also as a side note the two men on the concierge desk looked like big grumpy doorman and were not helpful to say the least. All in all it was okay but the things we did took the edge of a decidedly average hotel experience.

Not great , bed where very uncomfortable. Collapsing at the sides so you just roll off it all night, Very tired looking rooms and halls. Great central location.

"How a proper hotel should be"

All staff were extremely helpful and cheery very clean room food choice was varied and excellent .Definitely a 10 out of 10 and would definitely return

"great location. Everything seemed to be within 20 min walk"

Rooms small but well appointed and clean. Breakfast was very busy. Too many tables for 4. Ended up sharing with a lovely couple from Sweden. Didn`t get the chance to sample the pool.

"Hotel staff were lovely"

Hotel seemed lovely, the breakfast was very good. Unfortunately the room seemed to smell a bit musty/damp and so I ended up coughing all night. The staff were all lovely.
