"Very nice hotel"

Fab hotel could not fault in any way, staff very friendly, hotel is very stylish throughout, the food is excelent, the hotel is in the perfect location if even a 2min walk across the bridge from the train station if travelling by train, the luis stops very close to it also. Phenix park entrance and Dublin zoo only 5 min walk and city 5 min walk from hotel so ideal location.

"Check In"

Found it very strange that when we checked in with the Assistant Manager, that he never welcomed us to the hotel, advised us of breakfast hours, where the lifts were, or even wished us a pleasant stay. Other than this, enjoyed our stay and would return.

"brilliant location"

lovely hotel with large clean rooms. close enough to the centre to walk and far enough from the centre to not be bothered with noise. very well located for public transport with a tram and bus stops directly outside and a train station just across the bridge. great stay close to phoenix park zoo. well worth a visit.

"Good hotel, well presented, staff very pleasant and helpful"

The Ashling Hotel is a good base to sightsee from being near the Hop on Hop off bus services and railway station whilst the tram stops right outside. The hotel itself is very well presented, well organised with staff who are friendly and helpful. Food was also excellent however the evening meal service was slightly hit and miss. The waiter was lovely and friendly but he was very slow bringing dessert menus and coffee. On the whole we had a very enjoyable time and would recommend the Ashling Hotel.

"Food in hotel main restaurant on Friday 25th at around 9 pm"

I ate dinner in the main restaurant of the hotel and was sick from 2am and for much of the next day had only tea and toast. The hotel duty manager while sympathetic refused to accept any responsibility.

"Short Stay"

Hotel was pleasant . Staff were helpful. Have seen some mixed reviews but we found the hotel clean and tidy. Rooms were very very warm. Hotel a little way out but very easy route into town via the tram. Breakfast was excellent.

"Clean, Nice hotel with friendly staff. "

Can`t fault at all. Easy access to Dublin city centre, via bus or only 10ish euros for a taxi into Temple Bar/Trinity College/O`connell street. Would certainly stay there again. Also very easy to get on the Airlink Express from the airport to just outside the hotel and only 10 euro return.

Great hotel, only slight snag was that it was situated away from the centre of Dublin.

Although I had requested a quiet room, there was continual air conditioning noise throughout the night. I mentioned this at reception when I was departing and was assured that the next time I stayed I would be given a quieter room.

Room, breakfast and luggage storeage all very good. Only one hiccup our room was located next to the laundry room and you could hear the washing machine(s) going through their cycle. Disappointed the noise went on until almost 10pm.

"Excellent Hotel & Staff"

Ashling Hotel in Parkgate Street Dublin was first class. We were complimentary upgraded on arrival & as we were early they had a very good free baggage secure room. The Staff were very efficient, exceptionally polite and very professional. Room was excellent as was the breakfasts. The position near Heuston Station and direct coach to and from Dublin Airport to Heuston Station made life very easy. Brilliant 3 night 4 day stay in Ireland.

"We had a lovely stay at the Ashling Hotel - the breakfast was excellent. "

We will be back. The location is fab.The Luas is practically outside the front door. Parking is very convenient at the hotel. The rooms clean & comfortable. There are 3 lifts, which is great as you don`t have to wait for ages to get to your room like in other hotels. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Ashling Hotel.

"Ideal hotel for a quick stay in Dublin"

Hotel is better than the impression the photos give. Staff very friendly. Superior room well equipped and maintained (cleaned daily to a very high standard) with views out towards the guinness factory. Strongly recommend the restaurant for breakfast at least although a 2nd mortgage might be required for the bar. 2 drinks came to ?17! Would definitely come back again.

Very nice hotel, our room was basic but clean and good for the price. We ordered room service which was accidently forgotton and the staff very quickly sorted us with our order and made it complimentary to compensate for the wait. Which I thought was a very fair way in which to deal with the situation. On arrival the meals were very appetising.

"Comfortable, friendly and welcoming"

No complaints, we had a great stay. Staff were efficient and friendly and rectified a small problem immediately. The hotel is easily accessible to the City Centre, either by foot (approx 1.5 miles) or via a regular tram service. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We would definetely stay there again.

Very good price. Great situation for catching train after coming from airport. Also, really close to town. Had a non-smoking quiet room, didn`t use bar restaurant as only overnight between transport. Was pleased with room and price.

"Parent with a young child"

I stayed at the Ashling Hotel during a busy December weekend. The hotel is located very near the Heuston Station and only 3 stops on the Luas from O`Connell Street. The staff at the hotel was helpful, my request for a double bed instead of two singles was met and I actually got a large, family room instead of the standard double/twin. The only two remarks I have is that the breakfast was quite expensive: ?14 for a coffee, croissant and a bowl of weetabix and the bathroom in the room was a bit tatty. Overall we had a good experience I would stay at the hotel again.
