"amba hotel,superb"
stayed in a good few hotels in central london ,and this at the time is definitely one of the best, great staff complimentary mini bar, soft drinks ect, recently refurbed, and cool bars.

"Cannot be faulted "
Absolutely brilliant , took my partner for her birthday , hotel gave us an upgrade as well as chocolates , wine and birthday cake . Staff are all so helpful and friendly , without doubt if I go to London again this is where I will stay . Also it is in a perfect position for all the usual attractions . Thank you to all the staff for making it a memorable stay .

"Best hotel I`ve ever stayed in"
I brought my nana to this hotel and she was a bit worried as she had stayed hear a few years ago and hadn`t liked it. However we we both absolutely blown away by how beautiful this hotel was. The staff were so attentive and from walking into the reception couldn`t do enough for you. The rooms were beautiful with a fantastic bathroom and comfortable beds. Free mini bar and affordable delicious room service. Quite honestly couldn`t praise this hotel enough.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like their most important guests ever. We had booked 2 twin rooms one with disabled access and thoughtfully so that both rooms were on the same floor we were given a free upgrade to a junior suite - without asking! I cannot praise the staff highly enough and the fuss they made of my elderly mother who was celebrating her 83 rd birthday. The disabled suite was beautifully done and although had all the aids required did not feel at all institutionalised. Highly recommended.

"Excellent hotel"
Stayed in a few round the world and they could take a leaf out of this hotels book. It`s always the little things that nag. But the nespresso free unlimited wifi and a tablet full of info and working was a great touch. Certainly be back.

"Quirky and fun"
This hotel was lovely and clean, having recently been refurbished. Quirky, meandering hallways, John Cleese look-a-likes screaming in the restaurant and the best shower of any hotel I`ve stayed in, in England. Great access to Charing Cross station and seconds away from Trafalgar Square. AND, everything in the mini-bar was included.

"Excellent luxury hotel in the heart of London"
As a London hotel fairly high in the price range I had high expectations. It didn`t disappoint. The room, the food, the service and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff all were first class. I enjoyed my stay immensely.

One of the friendliest hotels I`ve stayed in in London, staff are very friendly the hotel is within a ten min walk from Covent garden and most theatres it is very central just a two minute walk from Trafalgar square, the breakfast is very good, the rooms are of a good size and the beds are very comfy would highly recommend this hotel.

"Excellent hotel and staff in a great location."
The hotel was excellent value for money in a great central location. We were upgraded to a deluxe suite which included a full English breakfast, use of the Amba lounge and a complementary mini bar in the room. The staff made you feel very welcome upon arrival and left a bottle of wine and a card in the room for my wife`s birthday. We will definitely be staying at the Alba the next time we return to London.

"Excellent reception and attitude"
We did have two comments to make on the room that we had. We gave these comments to the hotel and I feel sure that they will rectify. Incidentally you did mislead us in that you said we would pay extra for breakfast, when in fact the room that we had the breakfast was complimentary as was the mini bar and the use of their executive room with free coffee and drinks; which we were able to make good use of.

We were upgraded, room was wonderful with dressing gown, slippers, hairdryer, iron and free mini bar, lovely bathroom. Will definitely stay there again, it was central, ideal for theatre

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. A very comfortable room with welcome added touches such as bath robes & sheets rather than bath towels, a free mini-bar, plus sockets for all types of technical wizardry.

"Fabulous"
I booked this hotel as an early Christmas present for my daughter primarily for its great location and I could not have been happier. From the moment we arrived in reception the staff could not have been more welcoming. It was only 10am but our room was available and a very helpful porter showed us to it. The room was absolutely lovely with a complimentary mini bar and an ipad for our use. On check out we were asked if we would like a drink of either mulled wine or sparkling which was a lovely end to our stay. I will definitely be returning some time soon.

This hotel is the best I have ever stopped in. We arrived at the hotel 3 hours early but they still managed to get us into a room straight away which by the way was amazing, lovely and clean. At arriving at the hotel they asked us what the reason was for visiting London, I told them it was a surprise for my girlfriend as it was her birthday. When we entered the room on the evening they had left my girl friend a birthday cake and a card. I really couldn`t ask for anymore they was amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

"Friendly staff and great location "
Only issue was the shower door didn`t fit properly, so water got onto the bathroom floor! Bit of a hazard. Also the maid tried to get into the room twice in the morning 8:45 and 9:15!!

"whilst our stay was wonderful we had problems trying to find our room as we were in the new wing the"
directions were terrible for a one nighter,you had to go up a lift -down a lift a nightmare, also the main staircase had wonderful Christmas decorations on the handrail , but no handrail any more???? all right going up, ,not going down other than those two niggles perfect stay well done.

"Couldn`t fault this lovely hotel"
My wife and I do not often leave reviews, but having experienced a fantastic stay at the Charing Cross, we felt we must in this case. From start to finish the staff were incredibly courteous, offering more than i would expect. The recently refurbished room was spotless, well equipped and even had an ipad for us to use. Without my mentioning, the hotel picked up that my birthday fell over the period we were staying, and had a complimentary bottle of sparking wine delivered to our room, along with a birthday cake!! Needless to say we will certainly visit again when next in London.

"Wonderful Hotel "
From the time we arrived the staff were just charing and couldn`t do enough for you. Even when we had a problem with room service the staff went out of their way to put everything right which they did in such a way that they turned this into a positive. The location is brilliant for all the attractions of London being within easy walking distance. Fantastic hotel, with fantastic staff, in a fantastic location - we will certainly be staying here again.

"Good Central Hotel with friendly staff"
Room very nice size. Bathroom had knob missing on the heated towel rain, toilet seat loose and around the shower door grouting missing.
