Room service is a complete rip off. Tried ordering food at 10.45 at the bar. Was told it would be easier to order from our room and cut off for ordering hot food is 11pm. Called room service and were told only cold sandwiches available (same price). So a cheese and pickle sandwich with crisps would have cost 10 pounds!

"Convenient, comfortable and clean"

We just wanted a hotel room close to Euston Station and the Thistle fitted the bill perfectly. The room was very clean, the bed very comfy (lovely bedding) and included all the extras you want. Small bathroom but very clean and good shower. Will def

Really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. Convenient for Euston station so easy to get to and from shows. Comfortable rooms and lovely staff make a stay here a real pleasure

"Nice hotel."

Nice hotel, very central. Clean and tidy. Only down side, we could not get a coffee in the bar after 11 pm. We were advised we could have coffee in our room, but there were 5 of us, and not all wanted a hot drink, also don`t think the rooms the other side would have been too happy.

"Nothing was too much trouble."

The hotel was lovely and clean and very comfortable and within easy reach of transport links. An excellent choice. The staff were brilliant.

"excellent staff and food service but very poor room"

First I would like to say that I could not fault the hotel for the meal that we had there and would like to say that the staff were also very good .but my main problem was the room although the room was reasonably clean for its age it did have a few problems that I noticed in the night there was a very strong smell coming from the shower/toilet rm and the main windows had a broken lock not allowing this to close which ment that noise and draft kept me awake as I could not leave the heating on because the fan made a loud noise along with some kind of background noise coming through from the corridor . I did not complain about this whilst I was there until the next morning as I didn`t really notice all of this until it was late at night and didn`t fancy causing a stir so over all hotel staff and restaurants get a worthy 5 star but the room I would only give a 2 star

Had a lovely comfortable room at thistle Euston. Centrally located just five minutes from Euston station. Very convenient for getting around on the underground. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel as it is 2 minutes walk from Euston. We travel to London about 6 times a year as our daughter lives there and have stayed in many hotels, this being the best location, with really good staff (from our experience) ok breakfast, however, not the best of rooms. The beds are probably the smallest we have ever slept in, the room was very noisy due to traffic constantly going past and the toilet hadn`t been cleaned (this alone would put me off staying again) However, if you`re not too fussy and are traveling by train, it really is a perfect location, as you can leave your baggage after checking out and collect it on the way to get your return train, so no need to carry around London with you. Also, as I said, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, cant fault them.

"Tiny room trouble getting to other side of bed"

The double bed was positioned at the end of the room there was less than a foot to squeeze through between base of bed and wall to get to the other side. If a guest was large or disabled would be even more difficult. My partner scraped his ankle in the middle of night getting up to go to the toilet. For such a big chain hotel very disappointing

"Thistle"

Absolutely fab, lovely staff, huge bed and lovely view of the park and very clean. Me and my husband stayed here for our anniversary and they put a box of chocolates on our room, thought this was a nice touch. Would definitely go back. A very short walk to euston station, literally around the corner, wish we had booked for breakfast now.

Excellent hotel room very clean with plenty of tea and coffee for guest`s and so close to the station which was the reason we booked it.

Guest that are vegetalian, the heating - that make lots of noise, especially during the night, I was told that if I want the room to be warm I have to keep the air ventilation system on, other gest were really noisy at 3 am and this woke me up... the room had no fridge for my stuff, i was pretty surprised. on the other side, the staff was really nice

The hotel was delightful with friendly staff. It`s location was perfect for my group of friends. The relaxed atmosphere was excellent after an excited but happily exhausted group of ladies, returned to the haven of the hotel!

"Watch out for misuse of your debit card."

The hotel was impeccable. The receptionist was extremely helpful and ready to impart information relating to any aspect of our stay in London. Produced maps to help us navigate our way around. I permitted a £50 deposit to be charged to my debit card against any spending I may have done in the hotel. On checking out I had an invoice for £24 only and expected this to be the only amount taken from my bank account. Imagine my dismay when I checked my account on the Tuesday to find the hotel had not only taken the £50 I had authorised but that there was another amount for £85.98 not authorised. I phoned the hotel for an explanation and didn`t really get one. Apart from the monies would be paid back to my bank account at a later date. This is totally unacceptable behaviour. Due to this I will not return to this hotel.

"Not 4 star service"

Room ok but basic things like no to list roll in room, bar not able to serve hot drinks at the end of the night but before closing and literally chased for my breakfast token in the restaurant is not 4 star service. I wouldn`t recommend or stay here again

"Good location, pleasant helpful staff, room condition disappointing, breakfast like a cattle market!"

The room was clean but the bathroom had a badly chipped bath and the soap holder was hanging off the wall. No instructions for theTV or heating system so spent the night rather cold. Good choice at breakfast and decent quality, but it took a long time for tea and coffee to be brought to the table and we had to ask three times. The queue for the hot food passed the entry / exit door to the kitchens which meant staff rushing through with dirty plates etc. Very poor design of buffett area. The queue should have run from the opposite side! Over priced for what it was. Would not return.

Outstanding staff who couldn`t do enough for us, they made my birthday very memorable, I would recommend this hotel to everyone ! Your staff are a credit to you!
