found the hotel so easy could see it when we got off at st johns tube stop.we were very impressed arrived there at 11 and our room was ready. we a had a lovely big family room the bigest room iv ever seen would reccomend this hotel highly for comfort and value for money would stay there again

"perfectly adequate but nothing special"

bedrooms were clean and newly refurbished. Bed was comfortable, but room was noisy (fridge, aircon and strange noises throughtout night) Breakfast was ok but not great and several plates were dirty. No problem with it as such but wasnt great considering it was a four star hotel.

"Good spacious room and overall high standards"

On a cold weekend in February the hotel was warm and well appointed. The sheets on the bed were not the cleanest but this was rectified the second night. Staff were excellent and helpful and the facilities good.

Staff friendly and helpful.Did not use any facilities or eat so can,t comment.Room very comfortable and clean.Two minor niggles.Couldn,t contol temperature and could have done with somewhere to hang clothes in bathroom.Would happily stay again.Good location for getting around.

"Clean and comfortable hotel convenient for the centre"

A friendly, comfortable and convenient hotel with a generous, good value breakfast. There were minor quibbles (towels not at all fluffy and they`re mean with the tea provision though you can get more if you ask). I would certainly be happy to stay here again and I don`t often think that about London hotels.

Staff were all very pleasant and helpfull. The Hotel was very clean and bedrooms were well equipped and modern.We had breakfast at the hotel.the food was very good and service in the restaurant exceptional.Dirty dishes were removed imediately and drinks replaced when required.

"Great deal, good location and enjoyed our stay, December 2010"

easy location for tube and central London via jubilee line. Price was right for the accommodation. we didn`t use the restaurant much but under £15 for full buffet breakfast was reasonable. room clean and quiet bed comfy. we left our luggage with the front desk on our last day free of charge so we were able to enjoy our last day right up to last train home. NB: Air Canada use this hotel for crew stopovers so must be OK as far as they are concerned. It`s not super flash but I reckon it`s good value for money.

"Not that near Baker Street"

I booked this as a "secret hotel" listed as near Baker Street and was very disappointed. Not only is the hotel not that close to Baker Street, the room was tiny and was far too cluttered. I`m sure the room would be fine for one person on their own, but for two people it was very cramped. I have to say that the name of the hotel, xxxxx is almost correct, just remove the "an", and you get Dubius!! This experience has put me off booking "secret" hotels in future

"Considerate and helpful staff in a hotel with great facilities and great location"

In the process of refurbishment, this hotel offers very good value for money and excellent service. I like it so much that I have now stayed there four times. Just wish it had a swimming pool in addition to its fitness centre. The lobby is splendid. The location superb as it is away from the hurly-burly of the west-end yet easily accessible to it, is next to a park in addition to the great Regent`s Park, and if you are cricket fan you just might get a room with a glimpse of the Lord`s cricket ground and see some play.

"Way above my expectations"

Fantastic hotel! I treated my girlfriend to a trip to london, and i booked this hotel hoping it would be suitable. However it was so much more than just suitable. It was near perfect. The hotel was very clean, and all the staff were incredbly friendly and helpful. Situated next to Regent Park, with a 10 minute walk to Baker Street, and a further 5 minute walk to Oxford Street, was perfect. It meant there was no need to use buses or taxi`s (unless we were feeling lazy). If anyone was thinking of stying at this hotel (and i recommend you do) then can i suggest you take the chance to visit "West 55" a restaurant on baker street, which is amazing!!!

"Good value and decent location"

Hotel was clean, staff were pleasant. Had a room overlooking Lords Cricket Ground which was nice. Its a bit of the hike to the underground station and the hotel bar is expensive. But very good value for money and would recommend staying here for a short break to London.

"Good value well positioned for Paddington and Central London"

It was ideal hotel for us, literally a 24 hour stop to take in a show and a night out in London. We did not use any of the hotel facilities or restaurants but the staff we spoke with were friendly and we would stay there again as it represented excellent value for a 4 star hotel.

The hotel room and service was fine. However, having a confirmed booking for a smoking room which I re-confirmed when I stayed with them last week only to find that on check in no smoking room was available was not. I was finally providied with a smoking room, presumably to the detriment of another guest. This is not an acceptable policy. Confirmed booking arrangements should be adhered to, especially in pre-paid bookings.

"hotel staff very nice and friendly."

we stayed in early december when it was bitter cold and when we got into the hotel the warmth an welcome was excellent and the room and bed was so comfortable,also the fridge in the room was great when you wake at night and you have a bit of a thirst on you so dont forget to keep a bottle of soft drink in there at all times.

"Very Average. I wouldn`t have rated it 4*."

Very average hotel. Not great location. Surprised it was rated 4*. Room decor was tired and felt more like one of a much lower budget hotel chain. Cleaners were up bright and early on Sunday making plenty of noise next door. Did not use the restaurant or bar so can`t comment on those. This hotel is not in the same league as the 4* Marble Arch hotel we stayed in last year under the same `hidden gems` deal.

"excellent comfortable hotel in the location we wanted"

We wanted somewhere to stay before getting the eurostar in the morning - it was clean comfortable and pleasant. Highly recommend.
