The remains of Carmarthen Castle, overlooking the town are just 4 minutes walk away. The surrounding countryside and beaches of West Wales are within easy driving distance of the hotel, making it a great base from which to take day trips. Llansteffan Castle and Beach are 20 minutes drive away and the National Botanical Gardens of Wales can be reached by car in 12 minutes. The harbour town of Tenby is also just 45 minutes drive from the hotel.
Getting there:
BY TRAIN:Exiting Carmarthen Station walk north-east Station Approach and across the bridge over the River Towy. Turn right onto Spilman Street and then right again and the hotel will be on your right.
BY ROAD: BY CAR: Heading east on the M4, take the Junction 17 exit A429/A350 for Chippenham/Cirencester. At Stanton St Quintin, take the 5th exit onto M4 slip road to Bristol/S. Wales. After 0.6 miles merge onto M4 and continue for the next 22 miles. Keep right at the fork to stay on M4 for the next 24 miles. Keep right at the fork to stay on M4 for the next 55 miles. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A48 and after 3.8 miles at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on A48 for the next 11 miles. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto A40 and then after 0.5 miles at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Heol Llangynnwr/A484. After 0.1 miles at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A484, make a right turn and the hotel will be on the right.
