All About Eve
The Show
Gillian Anderson (X-Files, Hannibal) stars as the legendary leading lady of theatre Margo Channing. After a performance on her latest production Margo is introduced to a besotted young fan named Eve, played by Lily James (Mamma Mia 2, Cinderella). Eve tells Margo of her travels to see her perform and of her moving backstory and Margo finds herself taking Eve under her wing and inviting her to become her assistant. Eve graciously accepts and appears to be the perfect girl next door, but in theatre appearances can be deceiving. Ivo Van Hove directs the two leading ladies alongside Monica Dolan, Rhashan Stone and Sheila Reid, with music from PJ Harvey.

History of All About Eve
All About Eve is based on the 1950 American film of the same name. The film was originally directed and written by Joseph L. Mankiewicz and was based on short story "The Wisdom of Eve" written by Mary Orr in 1946. The film stared Bette Davis as Margo Channing and Anne Baxter as Eve Harrington. The film received 14 nominations for Academy Awards and won 6, including 1 for best picture, it was also the first film to receive four acting nominations for the female actors.
