Awards and what the critics have to say
The West End production of Les Miserables has wowed the critics with its dramatic and emotion stirring performance and won numerous awards, including the Laurence Oliver Award in 2012 and 2014. This show is such a smash hit that it has won over 100 awards in total including a Tony and Grammy Award. Have a look at some of the fantastic reviews this production has received from the critics.

"The metaphysical struggle between the former convict Jean Valjean and the pursuing policeman Javert is a very real and dramatic one. I always think the sign of any good theatre adaptation is when it sends you straight to the library for a copy of the novel. This does, and it sends you there singing loudly." Lyn Gardner at the Guardian

"At face value, Les Miserables might seem a dull and depressing subject for a musical, but the clever mix of humour, pathos, love and loyalty weaves a magical aura that stays with you long after the final curtain." - Lizzie Guilfoyle at indieLONDON

"What's really memorable is its sheer passion and pace. Doomy-gloomy through-sung musicals aren't usually my thing, but there are many moments that send shivers of excitement racing down the spine, others when it is overwhelmingly moving. The composer Claude-Michel Schnberg is an absolute master when it comes to the knockout power ballad."- Charles Spencer at the Daily Telegraph
