The Show One of the world's most popular romantic comedies is finally hitting the stage in London's West End! Originally a Hollywood blockbuster, the musical adaptation of Pretty Woman is sure to be a big hit. Big. HUGE!
Following a chance meeting on the streets of Hollywood, Pretty Woman follows the developing relationship between wealthy businessman Edward Lewis and prostitute Vivian Ward, who he has hired for the week. Can the couple overcome their social differences and interfering friends to prove that true love conquers all?
With music and lyrics by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance alongside choreography by Jerry Mitchell, the show is certain to have the audience captivated from the outset.
History of Pretty Woman Released as a film of the same in name in 1990, Pretty Woman was a box office hit and saw the highest number of ticket sales for a romantic comedy, ever! The films music choice was highly praised with its soundtrack reaching number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 shortly after the release.

Awards and what the Critics say "Pretty Woman has appeal in the energetic individuality of its chorus members and supporting players." Sarah Downs, New York Theatre Guide "Much of the show plays like a scene-for-scene facsimile of the movie, right down to large chunks of dialogue and the iconic outfits worn by Barks... But judging by the teary sighs, laughs and cheers of recognition, moist-eyed nostalgia appears to be exactly what the audience wants." David Rooney, Hollywood Reporter "Pretty Woman goes all-in on fantasy. It's a morally uplifting fairy tale of which everyone, young and old alike, can be sceptical." Bob Verini, Variety
Interesting facts about Pretty Woman The Pretty Woman movie was originally written to be a cautionary tale of sex work and drug addiction, luckily for fans the production company decided it should be a romantic comedy instead.
Casting of the movie was a lengthy process with Richard Gere and Julia Roberts not being the first choice for the lead roles.
The film takes inspiration for its plot from the opera featured in the film - La Traviata.
