"some issues"
overall the Hilton is a nice well decorated hotel. however, the bathrooms are in need of a massive upgrade. Two of our party had hip replacements and unable to manage the huge step into the bath ! we ate in restaurant which was nice enuf until they seated 16-18 people on a works trip in the secluded area we were sat, even though rest of restaurant empty ! apologies vouchers given. we decided to use these vouchers in the hotel bar whilst awaiting taxi. there was a child in a high chair screaming who appeared to belong to a member of staff that was working ! very disappointed view of what I imagined a `Hilton Hotel` experience to be. three adults, in room, two double beds, no room. two chairs, yet three of us .. view to back of hotel. I will reserve my review on trip advisor until the Hilton responds.....disappointing all round .......

"Hilton York v Hotel 53"
We stayed at hotel 53 en route to Edinburgh and Hilton on the way back. My twin sons, aged 11 1/2 would like the tv to have been more user friendly and include Sky Sports. My daughter aged 8 preferred the apple juice at hotel 53! The family room (304) was great though and much better to have two double beds than one double and a double sofa-bed (less comfortable) at hotel 53. Overall, very enjoyable, comfortable and convenient - thank you. All your staff were exceptionally nice and helpful and we

"8/10"
Good central location. Very comfortable bed & good quality bed linen, standard size room & bathroom. Price didn`t include breakfast, a full breakfast in the room was £18.95 , I don`t think that price can be justified. Hilton also charged £6.95 for regular TV channels such as BBC & ITV1.
