Guest rating: | 26/9/2008 | | "Clean room, comfortable bed and little street noise (side street). Helpful staff." | | | | Depends on your expectation of hotels and value but here goes: It`s a Paris 2 Star and by that standard it is very good. Breakfast buffet was fine. The location is good - v. close Metro (10-15 mins to city centre) but on a side street so quiet, great bistrot just down same street (Jacques Mélac). Staff were helpful and morning guy (I think the manager) fluent in English and German. Downside - but typical of type - small rooms and thin walls. Book on-line, rack-rates are about 30-40% higher.

Guest rating: | 31/3/2008 | | "Lift very small for luggage and occupants. Size of dining room" | | | | My main comment was the size of the dining room. Over our 3 night stay we had to wait for 15 minutes or more to get a seat to eat our breakfast. For a hotel with that number of rooms the dining area is far too small. Also the lift can only accommodate 2 peaople plus luggage which is not satisfactory if you are on the top floor.

Guest rating: | 25/3/2008 | | "Basic accommodation but good location and price" | | | | The Comfort Nation hotel is in a pretty good location, a few minutes from a couple of different metro stops and it doesn`t take long to get into the centre of the City for all the tourist attractions. The bedroom we had was pretty small. We booked a double and what we actually got was a room with 3 small single beds. The 3rd bed took up valuable floor space in the room. The bathroom was compact, but it was clean and we got clean towels everyday and the water pressure in the shower was good. Breakfast was interesting. They providea buffet style continental breakfast, but if you got there at certain times you had to queue for a table because there weren`t enough, and by the time you sat down, alot of things had run out. Eventually they will bring more bread and ham out, but you have to ask. Overall I would say, in Paris, we got a good deal. It wasn`t ideal but then for the price we paid I don`t think I would have expected more.

Guest rating: | 14/3/2008 | | "Communication betwwen Hotel Direct and Comfort Nation seriously flawed " | | | | Arriving in Paris after a long journey and late in the evening we were told that the booking that had been made by us through Hotel Direct had not been received by Comfort Nation. Not only this but no rooms were available. This was very distressing and only after our persistant protests was an alternative found at a hotel about 1km away. Not a good start to a holiday!

Guest rating: | 26/2/2008 | | "Slightly small all round for rugby players/followers. Broken lifts did not help things. " | | | | Would not bother with 2* hotels again. Broken lifts, generally shoddy and far to small. As for the breakfast room fiasco queue jumping and table grabbing was prevaillant. Staff were okay....ish but did not really apper to be in control. The rooms were tiny and were essentially single rooms (i think). Nowhere near enough wardrobe space. You couldn`t put your empty bags anywhere out of the way (see what i mean it was tiny) not even on top of the wardrobe, otherwise you would have only been able to listen to the news in French and not view it !!! Bathroom was neat and tidy and shower was ok for a size zero model not 18st of English beef. I was glad we only had a two night stay and not a fortnights holiday. Surprisingly i slept well (perhaps something to do with the wine) in the compact double bed. However i did quite like the location. Best stop now before i continue my whinge. At least we won the game at Stade de France....YES.

Guest rating: | 28/1/2008 | | "excellent value......!" | | | | Hotel is located on outskirt of Paris BUT it has a fantastic link into central Paris, the hotel itself is not situated in an exclusive location but hey what do you want for this price whichis GREAT value for money. A no nonsense hotel with clean and tidy rooms, no luxuries other than TV but who`s watching TV on holiday..! Adequate and simple would book again. Me and my wife went sightseeing in central Paris and you cant travel any better than the METRO hotel to Eiffel tower was 30.mins get off Metro TROCADER station. You can get to all the main attractions so hotel and transport links is a Thumbs Up. I read review before booking someone mentioned knocking pipes well its The Lift little noisey but you cant have it all just drink a bottle of red before bed and you wont hear a thing.. EXCELLENT....! in two minds JUST BOOK IT.

Guest rating: | 12/11/2007 | | "You will need earplugs at night to sleep due to the pipework and paper thin walls. " | | | | A good value for money hotel. Excellent buffet style breakfast, helpful, friendly staff. Just the fact that the lavatory pipework and water pipework runs in between the walls so you can hear upstairs toilet activities. Very thin walls. After the first night I went to the pharmacist and bought some earplugs that did the trick.

Guest rating: | 1/10/2007 | | "comfort nation, paris" | | | | we booked the comfort nation for the rugby world cup - whilst it was the other side of the city from the stadium (my own bad planning!) the hotel was close to the metro so transport wasn`t too bad. the hotel is very clean and functional with a good breakfast offering. i would certainly go back again. excellant value for money.

Guest rating: | 22/9/2007 | | " " | | | | Comfortable, clean room with soft, white towels, selection at breakfast especially good for 2* . Overall it was better than some 3* Paris hotels, but does lack the character of old, `quaint` Paris hotels. I might consider staying there again. as it is handy for Gare du Nord and central Paris.

Guest rating: | 17/9/2007 | | "Aweful beds!" | | | | We originally requested the Grand Hotel Francais...but were told that this hotel had forgotten to inform Hotel Direct that they were no fully booked-Problem No. 1! When we then arrived there seemed to be some confusion over us having 2 rooms..as for the rooms..don`t even bother expecting to sleep..the bed was like a large piece of foam! 3 hours sleep for the whole weekend my partner and I managed! You could just about turn around in the room..inn fact strangely enough, the best thing in the room was the flat screen lcd tv! You could even hear the toilet next door flushing. I appreciate this is 2 star..but I`ve paid less for a hotel before..at least I got some sleep!

Guest rating: | 11/4/2007 | | "clean, comfortable hotel, freindly staff, easily located and near metro line!" | | | | overall good place to stay, staff generally always helpful. Down side had to queue on saturday and sunday morning for breakfast for 15/20 minutes as breakast area only has 8 tables for ALL the rooms!!!! not very good! Also was recommended italian restaurant on staurday evening just 500 yards from hotel, but ws unfortunately shut at 8pm SATURDAY evening, as was most of the surrounding area, so difficult to eat in district in evening, needed to take metro to other parts for food! Howver, beautifully exquiste pasterie just 20 metres walk outside hotel! extremely freindly staff and superb cakes almonds croissants and coffess to die for!!!! :-)
