Staff were very friendly, Great breakfast that really sets you up for the day ahead. This is a modern and clean hotel. On the negative side the function rooms can be slightly noisy up to the bedrooms, and the bar prices are a bit expensive.

Service was extremely slow and we suspected this was due to some problem in the kitchen. The waiting staff were doing their best to cope.The food was good, but one small point regarding the wine.......we prefer our bottle to be opened at the table.

If we were staying longer we would have had to request another room. Every thing else about the hotel was very good.

I had to kneel down to read instruction label on bedroom safe because label is on vertical side of the safe. Suggest label is put on top horizontal side, bearing in mind the safe in room 219 is a few inches from the floor !!!!

I only have one complaint for this visit (25th to 27th Jan) When my two sons came to visit me on Saturday evening, your receptionist phoned my room while I was in your restaurant. Not getting any reply the receptionist assumed that I was not in the hotel. Your receptionist did not enquire to your restaurant where I was dining. Very disappointing!!

| Guest rating: | 17/12/2007 | | "lifts" | | | | Just a note to say we had no complaint on the inside of the room or the overall of your hotel but my husband and I were surprised that you charge the same price for the room we had considering our bed was behind the lifts we were wakened up a number of times by residents returning to their rooms the shouting language were shocking .Unless we were gaurenteed not to have a room similar to where we were we wouldn`t consider using the hotel again.

Very poor sound insulation between room and corridor, foot fall and conversation in the corridor are very audible in the room. The way the bedroom doors are fitted you have slam the door when leaving the room to get it to close.A long way from any reasonable area for restaurants, pubs and other facilities.Not a place to stay if you want an undisturbed night`s sleep.

However, you can`t complain when it`s open all night long for residents. Only £8 for a taxi into central station. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thank you.

The room was decorated to a high standard, the staff were most helpful and the breakfast very good. we really couldn`t fault it for a family weekend break. thankyou.
