Well placed to reach city centre (except during `rush` hours).The beds are very comfortable and the room well serviced and clean.The restaurant service was very good as was the foodA biscuit to accompany our room coffee would have been appreciated

"Avoid at all cost"
The hotel is located in a not particularly nice area of the city-even the taxi drivers from Glasgow questioned why we were staying in this area.The room wasnt particularly clean-even after the staff had been in to `clean` it-dirty glasses were left.The curtains in the room were too small for the windows,the bins were being moved about from 4am leading to one of the worst hotel stays i have experienced.I would never consider going back

"The room was clean. "
The staff were very willing to help, however, massively overworked. At Sunday morning breakfast tables were left with dirty crockery for some time and the buffet table was populated sporadically. On Saturday evening, the security staff got me to `check I was OK` as an intruder had been seen. While this could be seen as reassuring that the staff were concerned, as a single woman, I found it very unsettling. The gym was well equipped, but the language used by members and the dominance of the the pool / jacuzzi I found domineering, threatening & unnecessary.

"poor room service and payment issues"
i specifically chose the hotel for the 24 hour room service availability, however when i tried to order room service on saturday i was told that only cold foods were avilable and when i ordered a sandwich it failed to arrive. when i complained about this at the reception the next morning the staff were unsympathetic and told me that it was the night porters and not their fault. i ahd also booked and paid for the room over the internet, however when i was checking out i was asked to pay again and was made to feel quite uncomfortable when i said that i had already paid. i also paid over £150 for the 2 nights bed and breakfast, however the price i was asked to pay at the reception for the 2 nights b+b i had was £30 less than this??! i came away feeling overcharged and under serviced.

"Lack of information in hotel room. times of meals, leisure centre and means of getting around etc!"
All staff courteous and helpful. However felt that room could have been better it smelled strongly of stale cigarettes and only one bedside light in a twin room! Breakfast excellent,but the evening dinners were very overpriced consequently we ate elsewhere in the evenings!

"Good clean and friendly"
very quick check in friendly smile, room clean and warm. Breakfast buffet was very nice and good variety.very handy for the rangers football ground only 5 minutes walk.

"Badly needs refurbishment and it shows."
Staff at the Hotel seemed to be generally up to the job but the fixtures, fittings and decor in our room were pretty poor. The towel rail`s earth wire was detached from it rendering it potentially dangerous, one of the table lamps was at a jaunty angle because it was broken two thirds of the way up, the wall paper around the radiator was peeling, the wall paper around the window was affected by mould and the shower head fell off every time it was used.The overall feel of the room was tired and dowdy.

"Good hotel if you are down to see the football !"
This hotel is in a good location to Ibrox football park, which was the only reason we stayed here. The rooms look like they have taken a bit of a battering and are shabby, but they were clean. The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful enough and quite friendly.

Hotel is clean,service is good,polite staff.Some of the hotel is in poor state of repair,water leaking through ceilings.Hotel needs a face lift.

"In need of refurbishment"
The rooms were clean however with wallpaper peeling, terrible televison reception and 70`s style bathroom the Swallow bedrooms need redecorating.Service slow but polite.Waiting area for beauty treatments in corridor right outside rooms 1,2 & 3 - Great if your working nights!

"Terrible co-ordination"
Despite confirmed e-mail booking were not able to offer the correct rooms when we arrived. No duty manager available to discuss. Were made to queue for 15 minutes for breakfast and when finally got a seat the food choice was depleted (no eggs, no bacon etc etc) In summary shabby hotel with shabby service.

"Dont go"
We went and wish we hadn`t. Rooms were shocking, old and in desperate need of being redecorated. THE STAFF, my god I have never met anyone as rude as the guy on reception who made a guest queue behind us for nearly 15 minutes just to get his key!!!!!DONT GO TO THIS HOTEL IT REALLY IS TERRIBLE.

"FIRST NIGHT A NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
ROOM 218 in front of the double doors banging all night. Small, very soft single bed. If I did not have to pay cancellation fees, than I would have left the same night. Second night better in another room. I do not think that I will stay at this hotel again.I hope that somebody will read this and take note!

"Good accommodation and decent breakfast; friendly and efficient staff"
Room was large, clean and fully stocked. Watch out for a room over the ballroom suite at weekends if you`re not participating in the major event. Staff were always polite, helpful and friendly, although they did seem understaffed at breakfast one two of the four mornings. Plenty of parking space and easy access to the city centre by car or, via a 5-minute walk, the underground. Would stay there again.

Good welcome on check-in and friendly staff in restaurant.Dinner good - limited but good choice. Menu not too easy to read (coloured card)Room clean and comfortable but bathroom in need of a makeover.Surrounding area rundown and offputting but as hotel close to where my business meeting was, not too bad.Plenty of guests in bar/restaurant and locally staffed which was refreshing.

the hotel is basic,which is what i expected for the money,if i`d paid full price i would not have been happy. i asked for a taxi service when staying, and got ripped off, the return taxi was £5 cheaper! breakfast was very nice. the bar was cold because of the open door for the smokers

"Staff off hand, Tired bedroom, poor breakfast"
Check in and check out cumbersome and confusing. Bedroom in need of refurb - very tatty. Only one bedside light, no remote control, trouser press not working, pathetic dribbling shower. Swimming pool out of action. Insufficient tables for breakfast We had to wait to wait for one to be relaid as did all other guests arriving whilst we were in the room. Bacon barely cooked, black pudding revolting. Staff gave no directions as to service method or what was available and addressed my wife and I as "Guys". Generally a tatty hotel well past its prime. Poor reception systems. Surly and unproffessional staff. A very poor experience that I will not be repeating.

"General condition of hotel"
The hotel seems very slowly to be falling into a state of disrepair - the public areas are tidy enough, but there has been mildew around the bath and a damp smell in the rooms during my last 2 visits. Would only go again as a last resort and wouldnt recommend it.
