"Nice, simple hotel - 5 mins walk from Grafton street centre"
Simple hotel, nice rooms. Continental breakfast. Hotel ideal for Dublin where you spend limited time in the hotel & plenty of time in the city & pubs! Limited facilities eg no bar but no issue as bars nearby & 5mins walk Grafton & 10 / 15 mins temple bar area. Our room was on main road with trams on and opposite a few nightclubs but this caused us no real disturbances or any hassle - would stay again.

We where there just for one night so it done the job. Rooms not that big and en suites very small.

"Very Noisy front of house rooms"
We found Albany House to be a very good standard of accommodation. Pleasant and very helpful staff on the whole. However, we hadn`t anticipated that the trams run directly outside the front of the house and were running every few minutes up to 12.30am! Our room was on the lower ground on the front of the house and the noise of the tram passing was bad enough without the constant noise of the crowds outside the night club situated across the road which went on until way after 4.30am! My husband managed to sleep, I didn`t sleep at all on the first night. After making a complaint to a most unhelpful receptionist, we later in the day spoke to the manager, who was most obliging and moved us to a room at the rear of the house, given a complimentary bottle of red wine and a complimentary night on return to Dublin. We would return, the hotel was nicely situated adjacent to St Stephen`s Green, but only if we could be assured of a quieter room.

"Very attractive house in very convenient location."
Albany House is a beautiful 4-storied Georgian terraced house. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet and well equipped. Good breakfast in bright, attractive dining room. Staff all pleasant and helpful. Location perfect as all central Dublin`s main places of interest are within comfortable walking distance. Will certainly use it again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

The hotel was lovely and situated very close to the centre. All the staff were very helpful, polite and really made me feel welcome. I recommend this hotel to anyone and know where I`ll be staying next time I visit Dublin.

"Lovely rooms"
I enjoyed my stay. Checking in was a breeze and the receptionists were friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and large! There was a bit of noise from the street and breakfast was tidied away too quickly but otherwise very recommended.

"Albany an OK Guest House, bit noisey at night, No double glazing"
it is a big old building located about 15 minutes south (walking) from Temple Bar. It is advertised as a Bed and Breakfast deal, but the breakfast is a continental affair.Directly outside is a tramway and due to the double glazing lack, you will hear every tram that passess. The first one passes at 06:30 except for Sunday when it is 0800ish.thyere is no lift so if you are in room 30 to 52 it can be a hike with your suitcase or without.

"Good, clean and very hospitable, central location, within walking distance of all the amenities"
Albany House was very hospitable, rooms were good and everything was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was continental with a wide choice of items. I would have liked to have the choice of a cooked breakfast too, plenty of tea, coffee and fruit juice, nothing to complain about at all. Would stay there again.Maria Boyle

"Very clean, friendly & helpful, good location"
The hotel was really clean, and the rooms were very nice, with nice new bathrooms. The breakfast was lovely and all of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Great area, plenty of restaurants just along the street and a nightclub right opposite, which is good, and when you get back to the hotel you cannot hear any noise from it. Would recommend this hotel.

"A nice comfortable hotel in a lovely old building"
Rooms were very minimal for the cost, in respect of toiletries and the complimentary tea tray could have had more variety. Have stayed in better priced accommodation with more luxury items. Staff were very friendly though and it was nice and clean.

"A wonderfully traditional hotel with beautiful character, style and great positioning."
Our experience would have been awful had we stayed in the orginal room (room 17). The basement lacked everything; style, feeling, views, light and air! Moving to room 33, we had an amazing time!! Beautiful high ceilings, the tram below (instead of above!) and a wonderfully clean, bright and airy view onto the dublin street below. Fantastic stay, would definately come again and will recommend it to friends. More importantly, the staff were very helpful and friendly and contributed to our short but amazing weekend visit to Dublin. Thank you to all at the Albany House. We will see you again!

" "
I was slightly disappointed with the decoration of the room, as the wallpaper was coming away from the wall in some places, and there were some cracks in the bathroom tiles. However, I found the hotel receptionist to be polite, courteous, and very very helpful. The staff who were preparing and serving the breakfast were also incredibly helpful. In fact all the people working at Albany House, whom we came across, were wonderful.

"Great Value, great location"
Fantastic value for a city centre hotel. Good location, easy access from airport and to shopping and night life.Hotel very well kept and staff approachable and friendly. Breakfast lovely. The only small problem would be the size of the triple room, beds fine but not enough wardrobe space in comparision with the twin rooms.

"Spacious, comfortable, welcoming, helpful, and convenient for city centre"
Thurs to Mon occupancy.Stayed in first floor front/street room; a bit noisy in the early hours due to the weekend revellers in the street outside.Hotel staff were absolutely lovely, friendly and helpfull, nothing was too much trouble nor too much time to spend on you.We were up late for breakfast one morning and thought we`d missed it but dashed down to the dining room over half an hour late and they made light of our tardiness while serving us tea, coffeeand toast, etc, while we had choice of the lovely selection of breads, cheeses, and cereals that had not yet been cleared away. The location is very near the lovely St.Stephens Green park (about 50metres away) and ideal for walking or public transport into the city centre. Not if but when we go to Dublin again we would stay here again. Many thanks for making our stay most enjoyable.

"clean, friendly staff but major noise problems"
nice hotel in good location. heating couldnt be turned off making the rooms too hot and unable to keep windows open as hotel is opposite three nightclubs. the noise at night if your room is at the front of the hotel was unbarable. The hotel has five floors and no lift!!

Nice clean rooms - friendly and helpful staff - when your room is on the 4th floor, an elevator could be nice

"Lovely clean guest house in a great location for Dublin city centre"
We had a fantastic 3 night stay here. The rooms were lovely and clean, bathroom immaculate and the staff very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The continental breakfast is fantastic. Hotel is in a great location with everything on your doorstep. Only slightly negative comments would be, no lift - we were on 4th floor (although it is a very old building), shower pressure not very good on 4th floor, and rooms at front are quite noisey, although we were so tired from sightseeing that sleeping wasn`t a problem.. Dont let these little things put you off - its a great location and great hotel. Would recommend it and go back again without hesitation.

"Beautiful building. Nicely decorated bathrooms. Very helpful staff. Great breakfast."
Very helpful staff - provided an iron etc.. Lovely breakfast - particularly the brown bread. Some sockets did not work in my room and the water wasn`t very warm. Also, I think the heating did not come on until 7am in the morning, and so it was quite chilly.

"Very friendly and accomodating staff. Thank you"
In hind sight it would have been nice to have an Irish breakfast option. It has been bitterly cold over the last few days and and a traditional Irish breakfast may have been a more warming start to the day.

"Good situation for discovering Dublin"
Adequate as a hotel but no frills. At the weekends the front rooms of the hotel are very noisy in the early hours because of the nightclub opposite turning out.
