Each of the 13 bedrooms at the Baskerville Arms Hotel are decorated in a contemporary and comfortable style. All have en-suite bathrooms with towels, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. Free Wi-Fi is available in the public areas of the hotel. After a long day spent exploring the local countryside, guests can return to the hotels bar to enjoy dishes from the classic pub menu as well as a specials menu using locally sourced produce (booking is advised). As well as the drinks one would expect to see, the bar has a fantastic selection of real ales.
Hotel and location:
The Baskerville Arms was once more famously known as `The Swan` as recorded in the diaries of Reverend Francis Kilvert in the late 1800s. Set in the heart of some of the best countryside in mid-Wales, you really couldn`t pick a more relaxing spot to stay and explore the wonderful surrounding area. The hotel is located in the village of Clyro, approximately a mile away from the bustling market town of Hay-on-Wye, which is known as the book capital of the world. The village of Clyro is on the north-east tip of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons and is within walking distance of the River Wye. There are many walking routes in the area and numerous attractions around Hay-on-Wye, whether you want to spend your day canoeing, cycling, pony riding or sight-seeing, you`ll never be short of something to do.

Getting there:
BY CAR: From London.Take the M4 to Swindon and exit onto the A419 at Junction 15. Continue on the A419 (which will become the A417 after 20 miles) to Gloucester and join the A40 to Ross-on-Wye. At the Wilton roundabout outside Ross take the A49 to Hereford. After passing through Harewood End take the left turning for Hay-on-Wye (B4348). Stay with the B4348 for approx. 23 miles (following the signs for Hay-on-Wye). Drive into Hay and past the Tourist Information office on the Left. At the T-Junction turn right towards Hereford - follow the road round to the left and down the hill. Turn left at the book centre (just before the 3 Tuns Pub). Follow this road down the hill and over the bridge until you come to a T-Junction - turn right and then immediately left into Clyro. Follow the road round (with the church on your left), the Baskerville Arms is on the left.
From Bristol. Follow the M4 over the Severn Bridge to Junction 24 (Newport). Take the A449 and then the A40 to Abergavenny. Stay on the A40 until just after the village of Crickhowell, then turn right onto the A479 to Builth Wells. At Talgarth take the road signposted to Three Cocks and Hay-on-Wye (A4078 and then right onto the A438). Follow the A438 through Three Cocks, at Glasbury take a sharp left over the river (still on A438), after approx 3 miles you will come upon the village of Clyro on your left. Turn left into the village and follow the road through, you can`t miss the hotel on your left.
