"Great Hotel - BUT Hotel Direct price over £40 per night more than hotel rate....."
Stayed here for one night - very nice hotel - BUT colleague who booked direct with the hotel paid £40 per night less than I did by booking with Hotel Direct.  AND I used a 10% discount code (which was the main reason I booked with Hotel Direct....)

Rang Hotel Direct who said there is nothing they can do about it as hotel can change their prices at any time.....

Lesson: Always check prices with the hotel BEFORE using Hotel Direct!

"Hotel fine... location not so great"
Good room, clean, nice bathroom, pleasant staff.  But location not brilliant.  Not really in Shoreditch but actually Cambridge Heath.  A 30 - 40 min walk to Shoreditch.  10 mins to Bethnall Greeen underground station.

"Good... Unless your room is next to the lifts"
Good standard of room, reasonable price and reasonable breakfast. Only minor complaint was having a room on the ground floor next to the lifts which meant the occasional late-comer making enough noise to wake one if us up. Would also advise the hotel to move the electric shoe shiner away from the rooms so as nit to tempt people at 3 o`clock in the morning.
