A brief history of Take That
Formed in 1990 and originally consisting of 5 members, Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange, Take That have been one of the UK's most successful boybands. The group have had 12 UK number 1 singles and have won 8 Brit Awards, including Best British Live Act and Best British Group. Take That decided to part ways shortly after Robbie Williams chose to leave the group in 1995. Following almost a decade long split, the bands decision to reunite as a foursome in 2005 thrilled fans worldwide. In 2010 Williams re-joined the boyband and they embarked on the fastest ever selling UK tour, Progress Live, selling 1.34 million tickets in less than 24 hours. The 35 date UK and European tour included a record breaking 8 night residency at Wembley Stadium and received rave reviews from critics, fans and the media. In recent years Robbie Williams again separated from the group, Jason Orange has also left making Take That a trio.
