The first family room they gave us had a double bed and a very uncomfortable sofa bed, so i asked at reception if they could change it to two double beds which they did without question.

"1970`s TV in a 2012 hotel and nickel and dimed with the internet"

On the whole the experience was good and the staff were very helpful, the food in the restaurant was good. I called on the first night to get the pay channels working on the tv but nothing could be done. I left a credit card yet it could not be connected. That was disappointing as we were just relaxing down here. The price for the wifi is extreme, I do not take internet facilities when I travel as for the most part it is free nowadays. I spent about 20 pounds on this during my stay and will take this into account next time I look at the pricing of hotels when I look to stay next time. On the whole it was a pleasant stay but the internet and TV took the edge off it being excellent

Hotel was good however they did not cater for 3 people well in the too.only 2 towels and coffee cups for 3people sharing.mentioned to reception but not resolved. Hotel was comfortable and very clean. Our stay was fine.

"Good value, clean with a great little pool & spa. "

Practical room; clean, with a bedsettee for 2 children to share. Our 2 (8 & 6) had a comfortable night. One negative is the 15-20 min walk to and from Kings Cross Tube Station, which was too much for young children after a long day walking around London. But the price was much less than more conveniently placed hotels!

"A great hotel not too far from central London"

We stayed at the hotel on Wed 4th Jan-Sat 7th Jan 2012. We had booked a family room with 2 double beds and the room was very clean and in good order. The beds were large and extremely comfortable and we had a choice of pillow from soft/firm etc. The bathroom was also well appointed with the shower in particular being very good and powerful. There were tea/coffee making facilities, a hair dryer, trouser press, infact everything you need for a stay in the city. Our room was on the 6th floor at the front of the hotel and there was little or no noise from the street. The continental breakfast was adequet, fresh and filling. We found the late checking out time (12pm) very useful and we could leave our suitcases in the foyer under the watchful eye of the reception staff. We would definately recommend this hotel to other visitors of the city. The only draw back we had was the 20min walk to the nearest underground station, but apart from that, the hotel was excellent.

"Clean, comfortable, good facilities"

Staff not particulary welcoming or friendly at reception. Booked into family room, three sharing. Only 2 towels so asked for more - never arrived. Otherwise clean, comfortable. 10-15 mins walk to nearest tube ok for us but may be bit far for some. Booked via theatre breaks so good value.

"Brilliant stay"

Hotel clean, reception staff very helpful, the room was a family room a double bed - very comfy and a sofa bed - not so comfy. Hotel pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi costs extra £3.50 adult £1.50 child up to age 16. Top tip number 63 bus is right outside in both directions and takes you to Kings cross station in 3 - 4 minutes, the bus comes every 6 minutes - excellent! Would definitely stay again very good value for money.

No complaints at all about the hotel and it is in an excellent location for easy access to the British Museum and theaters and also for St Pancras International. However, it was expensive for the rather impersonal motorway style accommodation. Would stay there again but not at that price.

"Very comfortable, friendly staff"

The hotel was great and the staff were very friendly. the only thing i didn`t like is the fact that you have to pay £3.50 per person per day for use of lesiure centre which can work out expensive if your with your family. Breakfast is a bit expensive at 14.95 per head but there is a nice cafe across the rd and brekkie costs £5.95. the tube station is a fair walk away but the 63 bus stops ouside and takes you to kings cross station so i wouldn`t let that put me off. all in all i found it very accessible and plan to return nxt yr.

Clean, well maintained friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble which is what you would generally expect in hospitality but we have all experienced differnt. But here it rerally is the exeption, Def reccommend a stay here.

very good hotel only commemnt would be not a particularly nice area when you first get out of the station. It was getting dark and we have a young child so a little on edge.There was no problem though, and once clear, the hotel was fine a nd we found a loveley restuarnt to have an evening meal

The room was very good and the staff very helpful but the matress of the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable as every spring could be felt. We asked for an extra blanket and put this under the sheet to make it more comfortable. The use of the thin memory foam matresses on top of the sofa bed could alleviate this problem.

"Excellent for the price paid"

Very very clean, good facilities, and very central. Enjoyable stay and would revisit. Local area had a nice square with 3 or 4 restaurants only a 2 min walk from hotel.

Overall facilities good , we enjoyed the pool and gym. A little further out of the city than would have liked- £10 taxi fares soon add up.

Nice clean hotel, the down side is the tube is quite a walk especially if you kids. The breakfast could have a better variety of food but what was there was plentiful.

Room was very clean an tidy.staff were very helpfull on arrival.Both boys slept on sofa bed which was very uncomfortable and noisey.large queues for breakfast every morning,boys looked forward to go swimming in hotel pool when returning from sight seeing,but were unable due to children only allowed in pool before 6.30pm.

"A fantastic hotel with great facilities for a family short break"

The room was well sized with A/C and TV although we couldn`t get ITV, no hardship thoughThe pool is excellent with steam room, jacuuzi and swish changing rooms.Every staff member we met was very cheery,polite and helpful.Bus station 2 minutes walk, tube 10 minutes walk.Nothing bad to say, we had a brilliant 4 day break to see the sights and we are all looking forward to return probably after the olympics to do the same again.

Hotel suited us well for our overnight stay in London with our 2 children aged 8 and 12. Room was clean and beds comfortable. We really liked the continental breakfast, lots of choice and children enjoyed helping themselves. Staff were attentive and welcoming. We would stay at a Holiday Inn again.
