"Never again !!"

Arrived to be told the room is available due to `burst pipes` and that we are rebooked to Tophams Hotel and that transport is being arranged to take us to Tophams ` a five minute walk ` !!One and half hours later we were still stuck at Knightsbridge !!Staff were difficult to understand. We will not try to stay the hotel in the future! A rebate would be appreciated !

"Attention to detail was missing"

The suite we were offered was okay.The bed comfortable and the room was tidy and clean.There were several light bulbs that needed replacing (obviously not checked before we got into the room).We even had to ask twice for a plug to the bath and waited over 40 minutes for it to be brought to the room.The shower was good but the extractor fan in the bathroom did not work properly so it got very steamy! (had to open the window..).Did not eat breakfast in the hotel so cannot pass any comments on the continental breakfast or the state of the restaurant. Overall the stay was okay and for us was in a great location.

"Every thing is old and basic."

And beside that , there is no kettle to heat your water for the coffee & tea point in the room.Usually , you bring the hot water from the bathroom!Fortunately, I asked for one, and they brought it to me.The crew is very Kind.

On first thought the hotel seemed nice and we were pleased to find out that we had been up-graded to a suite. That changed however once we saw the room. None of the cupboard doors seemed to match up and the ``safe`` ( which was full of drill holes) had obviously been broken into at one point which would explain the reason for the room`s front door being a totally different kind from the other hotel rooms. The windows also let in a lot of street noise which was annoying while trying to sleep and the blinds also failed to open or tilt. The sink in the bathroom had a very big crack through the middle. Despite these problems I have to say that the staff were very polite at all times and house keeping was done to a high standard every day.If it wasn`t for the deal we received on HotelsDirect I would have been very disapointed.

"Over night stay"

The hotel was sufficient for one night. The location was great, shame about the dingy room, the grotty bathroom and the rude receptionist. I suppose you get what you pay for, although i wouldnt pay to stay there ever again!

"Needs attention to detail"

Air con in first 2 rooms we were shown did not work 3 rd room lucky also coffe machine was not workin and shower was only one setting which was scolding location excellent but these things did let it down . would I return only if the location was paramount price was cheap for what you got

"Initial room was dark and most lights not working. Upgraded to another room"

Apart from initial problems with the room, Hotel also suffered a major internal electrical power failure @ 1.30am on 25th January, which had still not been sorted out by 5.30pm the same day. Lack of emergency lighting on the stair was unacceptable.Although the staff were helpful and pleasant, the hotel should not be listed as a 4 star establishment.

"Great location. Good accommodation."

Really enjoyed our stay here. The room was a great size. The beds were very comfortable. The location was fantastic. We were able to cross the road and stroll around Hyde park or go around the corner to Harrods. Would definitely stay there again

"Very good value for money if you just want a bed and no frills"

No restaurant or bar to meet in but if you just want a bed in a clean roonm with plenty of hot water its fine.....if you want a more traditional hotel, where you are likely to bump into people who you possibly dont want to see....go somewhere else!

"good hotel "

very clean and very accommodating staff. I made the mistake of booking a single as i was alone and did not realize i would get a single bed. I would stay again but pay the up charge to a double so There would be a king size bed. Great location
