"Good Location"
Very easy to find. On the number 4 metro line, get off at chateau rouge and it is literally just down the street. Quiet and comfortable but did get warm in the evening. Air con was poor but large windows made up for that.

Very welcoming and friendly staff from the moment we walked in until we ended our stay. Comfortable and clean rooms with air conditioning. Breakfast was very nice and restaurant clean and welcoming. Definitely worth another visit.

Stayed at the Best wEstern Montmartre after scouring the internet for hotels and deals. We are glad we picked this hotel. The nstaff were excellent from the moment we walked through the door, helpful, cheery and polite.The rooms were not the biggest but were clean. Tea and coffe making facilities were present. Ther room was air conditioned.The bathroom was of a decent size, clean and obviously newly refurbished. The shower was excellent.The area is not the best but is similar to areas around most big cities. Saying that we experienced no problems at all.I would recommend this hotel and would certainly return.

We arrived very late on the night Paris had it`s worst snowfall for many years, and because of that, our room had been given away. However they arranged for transport to another hotel for that night and paid for the room. We returned the following day and were treated courteously and respectfully. The hotel itself was excellent, and the staff first class.

This is a little out of the centre but makes an excellant base for exploring Paris, as it is easily accesible by tube and close to the Gare du Nord. It is also very close to the Sacre Coeur with some good local `backstreet` restaurants in the area. Clean hotel with a good breakfast and very friendly staff.

The hotel was excellent really clean and the staff were really helpfull and friendly, the only downside with the hotel is the street where it is situated. We felt a bit intimidated as the area seemed a bit rough.Once off the main street we were ok, and Socre cur is a must visit and only 10 mins walk from the hotel.I would recommend the hotel though.

"night reception service was not great "
the hotel is clean. breakfast is good. the night porter service was aggressive and unhelpful on the first evening.i was given a room that had not been cleaned and had to wait while my complaints were checked before being given another room. not good when you are tired! the night staff were aways on the phone and kept you waiting. the day time reception was very friendly and helpful, you get a general feeling that discipline could be better among the staff. maybe this is just paris. the good point is that everything worked in the room; lights ,hairdryer,tv etc. its not the best area to stay in paris unless you want to be convenient for gare du nord which is 15 minutes walk or 2 metro stops away.

We were made welcome by the friendly staff at the Montmartre hotel, who spoke good English and were very helpful and patient with our poor French. The breakfast was included in our price and was good, fresh french bread, croissants, eggs, ham, cheese etc, usual contintental fayre but presented in a good way and plenty of it. The room was clean, bathroom a good size and the air con efficient [a must in baking hot July!]. The only downside was the area, not as near to the sights of Montmartre as we were expecting and a bit seedy at night. Having said that both were compensated for by the hotel itself and I would definitely stay again.

This is a very good hotel as you would expect been a Best Western chain hotel. The only problem I found with the hotel was its location. The hotel was not in the best area shall we say, anything north of gare du nord was a bit run down. Some people might feel a bit uncomfertable walking back to this hotel late at night.

"Excellent Hotel. "
Excellent and we will be returning there. It`s small, compact, extremely clean and close to buses, metro and supermarkets as well as restaurants. There are plenty of British and Canadians as well as Europeans staying there. The staff were some of the best we have ever encountered. Mr Veau, Alexandre and Gerald were fluent in English and advised us on available trips and tips on how to get around on a budget, which restaurants were good, what to avoid, they also made local phone calls on our behalf. The service was faultless and could not be bettered in a seven star hotel. This would be my hotel of choice for a return visit without a doubt and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Our stay at the hotel was only spoilt by the lack of hot/ cold drink facility in the room , and no room service. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel was clean and fresh.

"Good for a short getaway"
The hotel is on line four toward Porte Clignancourt (2 stops from the Gare du Nord - Chateau Rouge). Line 4 also takes you to Cite which is a good start point for a day out. The Hotel is about 10 mins walk up hill and up lots of steps to Montmarte. The hotel itself is clean and well managed. We choose a room with a garden view - not much of a garden but no traffic noises either. The breakfast (if you manage to get it included in the price) is fair - Baguettes, croissants and other pastries, cold meats, hard boiled eggs, jams, cereals, coffee, tea and fruit juices. This hotel is ideal for a short city break if you don`t want to spend too long in the hotel as location is great.
