"Average Hotel"
This hotel is adequate and no more. It is well placed for Gare Du Nord and 10 minutes walk from Sacre Coeur. Beyond that there is little to commend its location as it is in a down at heel area where some may feel uncomfortable. However we encountered no problems and people just got on with life generally.The hotel is clean, the facilities basic, and the breakfast is OK albeit in a cramped space.Would choose elsewhere next time.

"The hotel is well located so it was easy to move in the city."
I and my wife spent 3 nights in the hotel. The hotel is well situated in a short distance from the centre of the city. The short distance to the closest Merto station (3-4 minutes) gives a good opportunity for fast and cheap transportion.. The room itself wasn`t a big one and it was difficult to move inside.It was clean and a bed was confortable. Accually, we left it after brekfast and came back in the late eveningso it met our basic requirements. The coffee and an electrical kettle is available in the room. We missed a refrigerator that could have given the opportunity to drink something cold in the evening. The full breakfast offered in the hotel was a big advantage as well. One shouldn`t underestimate close location (30 m) to the shop where you can buy some soft drinks and some food (open until 22:30). The hotel can be recommended for somebody who wants to stay for few days in Paris with a main aim for sightseeing.

"Weekend in Paris"
I booked 2 twin rooms for 4 of us travelling together.Unfortunately,one of us couldn`t go due to unforeseen circumstances.We were put on 2 different floors to start with and then we managed to get rooms on the same floor but on opposite ends of the corridor.I was on my own and felt very uneasy. Kettle didn`t work for 2 days despite me telling reception.Area was a bit rough.

Thought the hotel was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the tea making facility which is uncommon abroad. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The location is very convenient for the Metro but we found the surrounding area was a letdown due to numerous street vendors hustling, litter and general untidiness .

"Excellent value and service"
The hotel was excellent value for money. Our twin room was very comfortable, modern and clean and the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is well situated (a minute`s walk from the nearest mainline Metro station). Montmartre is `urban` rather than `chic` (which probably accounts for the lower room rates) but we liked the bustle of the streets and the markets and would not hesitate in booking here again. Very satisfied with our stay.

The hotel was great - friendly staff, comfortable clean room, good breakfast. We got a good rate too through hoteldirect. Unfortunately the lift was out of action when we stayed which meant lots of stair climbing - ok for us but it wouldn`t have been for less mobile folks. Also the area felt slightly dodgy at night but overall we`d recommend this hotel. We`d certainly stay there again.

Lift had been out of action for a month and our room was on sixth floor. Although we were offered room on lower floor. No heating in room. It was February and very cold outside. Requested hearing to be repaired on 2 occasions. Stairs were dirty. RRefund would be justified for inadequacies. Breakfasts were good.

"Pleasant Hotel in a popular area."
Well placed for access to Montmartre and reasonably close to Gare du Nord. When we were there the lift wasn`t working which was a problem as we were on the fifth floor. I assume this has been fixed, but a consequence of this was that the access on each floor to the emergency exits were all blocked by linen and other material as the cleaners were not able to bring this up and down using the lift. As a Best Western I would have expected a better response to the lift failure.

"Fantastic hotel- walking distance of Nord du Gard"
Great hotel in the momatre area. I know some reviewers felt the area was a little dodgy but this wasnt the case. 5 mins walk from monmatre and the sacre coeur. Some great bars and pavement cafes in this area. Hotel was clean and tidy. Rooms were very quiet. Suprising given the bust location. Slept like a log. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would go back there in a shot.

Area was very busy and a bit frantic at times probably not for people unused to busy city living .Could not fault hotel,rooms nice ,staff really helpful and breakfast pretty good value.It was not an area though that we wanted to go out and eat in or go for a drink locally, although a great base for seeing rest of Paris and easy to get to Gare du Nord from.

The Hotel was well located for Montmatre which is exactly what we wanted and just 2 mins walk to the Metro. A supermarket next door was very handy. Our room was small (expected in a small, central Paris hotel) and I struggled as I am 6ft tall but when we enquired about the possibility of a larger room we were immediately offered a much bigger room, which made our stay much more enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay and had no problems. Many thanks.

"Pleasant hotel located near two metro stations. Price on the high side. Charges should be lower. "
When we arrived at eleven o`clock we were told that the hotel was full despite having paid in full weeks previously. We then had to walk 400 yds to be put up at an inferiour hotel before retourning to the G.W. the following day.To compensate we were given free breakfasts for the rest of the stay. The G.W. room was pleasant and clean.The hotel is situated on the edge of the imagrant population but we had no trouble.with this.

"Great hotel, great location, great staff"
Walking up the road (just a few stops from gare du nord) i was a bit dubious of the area but the staff were very helpful and assured me it was safe and they were correct! The hotel itself has nice bright rooms, not massively spacious (but this is Paris) good showers/bathrooms and tv. It was my 3rd visit this year to Paris and by far the best hotel i`ve stayed at and great value for money. I`ve now recommended it to my friends and would recommend to anyone else as there are some bad hotels in Paris and this is certainly NOT one of them. Wi-fi access was very helpful and just a few minutes walk from Sacre Coeur and has a supermarket right next door. I decided not to have breakfast at the hotel but it all looked very nice, clean and good value for the extra money. Highly recommended - do not be tempted to save £15 on a 2-star hotel thats a bit closer to the centre, trust me! Thanks to all the staff!

Nice clean, recently refurbished hotel with small rooms. Great location in montmartre only a couple of stops from the gate du nord on the metro. Fantastic little restaurant/bar called Cheri Bibi nearby. Check it out!

"Brilliant hotel - lovely decor, friendly staff and close to attractions."
Hotel was very clean and stylishly decorated, and very warm during our stay in winter! Rooms were small but very comfortable, we slept like babies every night. The shower was very powerful and the bathroom was immaculate. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The description on the website said the hotel had a bar, but we found this not to be true. There were plenty of nearby bars and restaurants but due to the bitter cold at the time of our visit, it would have been nice to have a drink in the hotel in the evenings. In all we were very impressed with this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

"Good Location"
Very easy to find. On the number 4 metro line, get off at chateau rouge and it is literally just down the street. Quiet and comfortable but did get warm in the evening. Air con was poor but large windows made up for that.

Stayed at the Best wEstern Montmartre after scouring the internet for hotels and deals. We are glad we picked this hotel. The nstaff were excellent from the moment we walked through the door, helpful, cheery and polite.The rooms were not the biggest but were clean. Tea and coffe making facilities were present. Ther room was air conditioned.The bathroom was of a decent size, clean and obviously newly refurbished. The shower was excellent.The area is not the best but is similar to areas around most big cities. Saying that we experienced no problems at all.I would recommend this hotel and would certainly return.
