Very good value. Provided everything we needed and very convenient. Plenty of places nearby for eating.We were warned of noise in the morning because of the refurbishment but we were up and out so it did not cause a problem

Very small room but clean. Building work in progres and the pool was free to compensate, otherwise it would be£8 per person. At weekend he work is limited but noisy when it`s in progress.

Not a bad hotel, however, as they are undergoing a refit some temporary signs would not go amiss.The lifts were hidden, dining room was out of the way. It is ok for the people who are there everyday but to new guests and visitors one would have expected either some signs or some form of communication from staff as to where everything is.The room was small but comfortable. Breakfast (when I found it) was good. The work being carried out was being done very quietly so there was little or no disturbance to the guests.

"Comfortable hotel, good leisure club"

Although the hotel was being refurbished at the time I stayed, and my room had not yet been improved, it was comfortable. Staff were courteous, a slight bug bear was that my key card didn`t work, and when I rang down from the house phone on the 6th floor I was told that I had to go back down to get another card. I was travelling on my own so had to take my bags with me and then wait again at reception! Not perfect when one has had a really long day and arms aching from carrying a heavy work and overnight bag! But equally these things happen ! The leisure center was lovely, large warm pool, helpful staff and lovely sauna!

"Don`t listen to all the bad reviews!!!"

I stayed here with my partner recently and our room was lovely. We weren`t disturbed by the renovations at all. Only Complaint would be the bed is too small. It`s a double but a small one and my partner at 6 ft 3 had very little room. But over all very good

"tiny room of poor quality"

Tiny room of 4* quality, tiny 14" TV with a remote that didn`t work. Kettle didn`t boil properly. House keeping woke us at 8.30 wanting to clean the room?! Workmen disrupted our sleep by working right outside our window. This could have been avoided by hotel staff looking where work was taking place and putting us in a room further away accordingly.

"I won`t go there again!"

I accept I booked a single room so it was small, no matter it was cold as air con v slow to heat up. TV reception v poor and only basic 5 channels, no radio at all. Room had not been cleaned properly..food on carpet. Woken up at 4.45 by hideous noises from air con plus noisy bathroom extractor stayed on for 30 mins. Very disappointed glad to get out of it.

"Excellent location"

Booked the hotel as American friends were coming over. Fabulous location and great deal was obtained as the hotel is in the middle of refurbishment. The bedroom was very small and dated, but we were not inconvenienced at all. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

1. The system whereby all the electrics are off when the room is unoccupied ensures that in the winter the room is never warm when the custome returns to it.2. It is galling to stand in a breakfast queue and to find out when you get into the dining room that it is half empty. You need a better table clearing system and a quicker way of getting people from the door to their tables. In short, more staff on!

"Bar Service"

Could not believe the length of time it took to serve 2 wines, we waited 12 mins to get served. On Saturday night we waited 30 mins between giving food order and getting served. We were offered free drinks to compensate.

Very small rooms, but clean. Spa- free of charge as promotion- difficult to use, as they always closed much before closing time and the spa and gym staff were quite unfriendly. Wi-fi offered as promotion free of charge- but did not work at all. Otherwise I believe quite reasonable for 80 quid per night.

Friendly, helpful staff and decent accomodation. Only quibble was I was in single room with a bath/shower as opposed to walk in shower, so if have accessibility issues check with hotel for room without this.

TV needs to be up to date and bigger choice of free to air.A small fridge is a must.More up to date bathroom accessories and soapsBathroom doors are outdated!

"A taste of affordable luxury"

Situated in a pleasant area of London, the hotel has very comfortable rooms and a lovely spa. This comes at a reasonable price for thefacilities involved.A wide range offood for breakfast and some lovely restaurants and shops around thearea. Very close to the tube station.

"A disappointing stay :-("

I never realised a hotel could make a cupboard into a room....but one learns something new every day! Additionally the structural work - which starts at 8am - was not made clear when we booked, and the "complimentary" use of the pool/leisure facility was already advertised as included anyway! Just not impressed with the experience overall.

The double room was small and tired decoration and the hotel was rather noisy. Drilling etc- I was warned on arrival that work would be 8-5 but actually it started before 8 and went on after five in the hallway by the room I stayed in. Staff were friendly enough and helpful but as a regular over night stayer in London it was definitely not great for the price of the hotel.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet - food was good - spa facilities and pool were good and spotlessly clean. Although the hotel is in the middle of a refurbishment programme it did not affect our enjoyment of the weekend - we will definitely use the hotel again

This is the first hotel that I have stayed in which imposed a charge on residents for use of the swimming pool. Secondly when advised about the cost of the breakfast, residents should be advised in advance that there is a service charge in addition to the cost of the breakfast, not when they are settling their account...

Average hotel - somewhat dated and could do with some refurbishment (which is happening at the moment), Stayed 2 nights but room was not serviced on the second day until I asked for it to be done. Tried to bill me for bar purchases which we had not made. Apologised that they had got room numbers mixed up!
