"air con- window."
good location good room breakfast not included in price. fitted air-con unit in room but could not shut window left in cold for two nights. when we complained not bothered. other window had a bolt in the side to stop it being opened by this stage, fire regs allow this? on a 25th anniversary break not exactly romantic freezing cold room. would not be wasting my money staying there again.

"Great location, friendly and helpful staff"
Would definitely recommend staying here. Easy walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and sights. Decor very stylish and room well equipped. Booked via hoteldirect.co.uk and at time of check in, reception staff had no record of my reservation despite it being paid in advance several weeks prior to arrival!!! They sorted everything out for us though thankfully and accommodation was available. A bit worrying for a while especially over the Jubilee weekend! Apart from this minor problem, I would definitely stay here again. Although perhaps would think twice about using HotelDirect again!

"Beautiful room, lovely decor but a bit on the small side and very very warm."
Had a lovely stay in June 2011. Great location, just short walk to Princes Street for shopping. We had booked executive suite but I wouldn`t call our room a suite, it was a smallish hotel room with a ledge with a kettle, microwave and fridge. It was also incredibly warm despite no heating being on and the window wide open. Other friends we were with had slightly larger rooms but only one of them I would describe as a suite. All in all however I would recommend for a short stay.
