"Student Accommodation"
We stayed for three nights. Very good central location. On third floor - no lifts - which is ok when you don`t have to lug a suit case! We had a standard double room. Clean but very dated and basic. The room was far too small for us. Like they had put a double bed into a single room. The bed was very comfortable. The wet room was about the size of an aircraft toilet - absolutely tiny with a tiny sink with a shelf above. We had clean towels every day. The breakfast was excellent - worthy of a five star hotel. The staff were very friendly and polite. Sorry but we won`t be back because of the room size.

We are very happy with the position in relationship to the centre of Edinburgh, a pleasant stroll to the centreI would suggest though that some thought be given to the shortage of a lift if older persons with luggage check inI am not suggesting a lift but it could deter some people with heavy luggageA great little Greek restaurant around the cornerWe would come back

"Comfortable, value for money, great breakfast"
Stayed only one night but would go back on our next trip to Edinburgh and take the family. Quite basic but everything you would need for couple of nights stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast and easy check in and out

"Good comfortable Hotel"
This is a good hotel for a stopover - not your normal "stand alone" Hotel but meets all the basic requirements for a base to explore the city. Room was clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities. The morning breakfast (included) was excellent and was served in a clean neat dining room. All staff were very welcoming and polite and made every effort to meet our needs. Would definitely book again for any stay in Edinburgh.

"Banging doors all trough the night."
Might I suggest , some kind of courtesy notice to all residents regarding the banging of doors.This I found to give me quite possibly one of the most restless stays in accommodation, and yes I have visited backpackers across continents . However the concrete walls and corridors amplify this. Maybe some kind of acoustic solution or treatment. Otherwise a very pleasurable experience, very courteous staff , the breakfast however did not meet the expectations as advertised .The vegetarian sausage were appalling , please reconsider the broad varieties of vegetarian options that are available .

They do the basics very well. Has all the facilities including TV. Rooms clean and tidy. Breakfast facilities are very good.

"Superb budget stay"
A very clean, newly modernized establishment, with very helpful staff. Room was much more than I expected. I would thouroughly recommend this for travellers who want to get to the heart of Edinburgh without breaking the bank. You get a lot for your money!
