"Week-end stay June 1st"
My 1st time to visit the Roxburgh and hopefully not my last. Very impressed with level of service from reception to the cleanliness of my room. Overall well worth the extra few shekels.

"comfortable beds and very good showers"
Cold buffet breakfast very good with plenty of fruit etc. The cooked breakfast was less good with tomatoes totally dried up and a sense the dishes had waited in a hot oven.On arrival I asked for a bag of ice as I have had a knee operation and it was swollen. Despite repeated requests this never materialised so we gave up. Strange as it is so simple.

"First class accomodation !"
No complaints about the hotel but would suggest that maybe your overnight parking is a bit expensive

"Central position in Edinburgh`s West End, comfortable and welcoming"
Check in and concierge services good, pleasant bar area with good bar menu for lunch. Ladies cloakroom clean and well presented, but hand dryers not working properly, and no alternative towels provided. Nice room, clean and well appointed, Excellent breakfast, wide choice of fruit and cereal buffet and full Scottish breakfast. Plenty of staff, who were very pleasant and helpful. Would stay there again.

"There were wedding receptions on both the nights we stayed. Making the hotel noisy and untidy."

"certainly below expectations for £110 per night excluding food and also plus £39 parking fees"
Staff were very nice and polite- the room was only as good as any travel lodge but sadly not as clean. I could write my name in the deep dust on the skirting board next to the bedside table!. The bulbs in the lamps popped or had already gone? room service promised to renew them but did not. only one 30ml shampoo for two woman for two nights? A wee bit mean.... towls were not generous either Not what one would expect for 4* deluxe standard. Would not recommend it- sorry.

"-"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Roxburghe and were made to feel very welcome. The room we were given was excellent, and although we travelled with the intention of upgrading, that proved not to be necessary. We didn`t use any of the fitness facilities and in the end we didn`t breakfast or dine in the hotel. Breakfasts appeared to be quite expensive for a buffet meal but the dinner deals looked attractive. However, the hotel`s ideal location meant that not only was it ideal for sightseeing, inc local buses, but cafes/restaurants for both breakfast and dinner were within easy walking distance without going into the old town. Hotel staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. One slight criticism would be the lack of a room safe.

"friendly service"
Clean rooms with good facilities apart from the shower in my room only dribbled out. Most of the jet holes seemed to be blocked.
