"Very average, basic airport hotel"
Felt this was advertised much better than it was, this is an airport hotel, our room was apparently upgraded, but could not see what the upgrade was, basic double room, basic bathroom, whole hotel was busy but it`s in desperate need of decorating and upgrading, rather tired looking. Was hosting a wedding which I hope the guests were enjoying but amongst loads of holidaymakers and coaches to and from airport, it cannot have been fab for the wedding guests. Totally ridiculous rule of cash only throughout the hotel, in this day and age felt this was appalling so apart from staying in our room which was already paid for we decided to go elsewhere for eating and drinking and have to say this was the best decision, we had a great time in Manchester and many other places reaped the rewards of accepting our debit cards including taxis, various bars, shops and a restaurant.

"Terrible"
Got to the hotel and the man at reception was rude and short! Went up to the room. There was dust on top of the wardrobe, tv, desk... Everywhere, very old not worth the money, we left after the hour and found a new hotel

Very basic for a very reasonable price. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. However you get what you pay for. All a bit run down. TVs in both our rooms did not work. But worst, we chose the hotel over others as it advertises an indoor pool. Our kids were excited by this and looking forward to a swim after a long journey. But the ads don`t mention it is closed to kids from 5pm and they can`t use it in the morning either.

Great hotel and well worth the money we would stay at this hotel again. Friendly and helpful staff has everything that you need. Rooms are done out nicely and were clean and tidy. Very close to shops and public transport is always avaiable.We would like to say thankyou for making our stay very comfortable and look forward to staying here in the near future.xx

The staff where all friendly and help full. However no one brief me or my son that the pool was not open to him after 18.00. Important to us as we only booked the hotel to swimthe evening meal, the waiter was great bit there was not enough staff on queuing for a table then 20 plus minutes waiting to order. Over all clean tidy put more staff on in restaurant and brief customers on the facilities on arrival it would great for the price infact it would be great.thanks Julian

"Would not stay here again!"
Unhelpful staff on Reception. I had paid for breakfast but was told it was not included and there would be a charge. I was asked to pay for the use of the pool. I had booked on the basis that there was no charge. I will not be using your company again. What was supposed to be a special weekend was ruined because we could not swim or have breakfast.

"Dated & tired hotel"
On checking in was allocated a dreadful ground floor room. Allegedly a double (though there was barely enough room for 2 people to move around at the same time), supposed to be none smoking, but stank of cigarettes - including a cig burn mark in the bathroom! Heating on full blast, which couldn`t be turned off, oh and lets not forget the stained and filthy walls - never again!!! ,

"very nice hotel"
I always stay at the britannia country club when i stay in manchester as it is in it`s own grounds so very peacefull, Plenty of car park space and great for holidays are car park fees are in the room rates.
