Enjoyed our stay. Some areas of the hotel looked dated and in need od decorating. Food excellent and all staff extremely pleasant friendly and helpful.

"Very nice view !!"

We have booked this hotel through hotel direct .com sea view room is very nice. I would recommend terraced room. Hotel advertised with hot tub spa but that is not working. Everything else was fine. We would back again.

"Not good value for money"

We book this hotel as a little luxury treat for us and the kids, a nice dinner and a night away.I was expecting the hotel to be in a lot better condition. The floor of our bathroom seem quiet unstable, with a covered hole near the bath, and was very small, we burnt ourselves more than once on the towel rail as it was so close to bath and toilet and hot water was extremely hot, perhaps dangerous. The ceiling in our room was patchy and bowed, The whole room was very used and unloved.Our dinner was very expensive, with very little choice. The steak with a starter was £30 and my children both wanted steak. They said the food was nice, but it was nothing special and certainly £30 for a dinner for a nine year old is too expensive in my book. Not the hotel thought on my final point really, just an added disappointment. We booked the hotel specifically because it has and pool. We couldn`t use this as someone had pooed in it. And the kids didn`t feel like using the next day.

wonderful stay for bournemouth air festival, staff were very friendly without being intrusive, nothing was too much trouble.Hotel could possibly do with a little re-furb as some rooms are a bit dated, but on the whole very clean, food is excellent (especially breakfasts), and i will be re-booking for next year.

"I booked this hotel as it was on the seafront, shame restaurant in basement. "

We had a short stay at the Suncliff & had a standard room. This was very small & tired. The bathroom was pretty grim, the door stuck, so you had to throw yourself against it, to get out!! As little time spent in there the better! The breakfast was very nice though, with lots of choice & lovely staff. Just been better with that fabulous sea view & not in the hot basement. Great location, but needs updating.

problems booking in, we were allocated to the hotel next door with no explanation or an offer to view the hotel and room, totally unacceptable

"Genuinely friendly & welcoming staff"

The rather average condition of our hotel room ( plus numerous steps to negotiate ) was more than compensated for by the multi-national staff who gave excellent service & were always ready to help.The full english breakfast is NOT to be missed - you won`t need lunch!.

The Suncliffe gives great value for money regarding the food and evening meal. Not there for the TV but the Freeview reception was not good, probably because of poor aerial reception - waste of time watching. Having only one lift was really not convenient either and had to give up a few times waiting for the elevator. Don`t expect to get a car park place as less spaces per total rooms. Being able to park in adjoining Hotels was good though, also being able to use their facilities was a bonus. Having no Air-con was very difficult as in July 2013 it was very hot and humid and `wow` the room was very stuffy. Get up early for a sun lounge by the pool and do a `German` with your towel, I`d advise. Bournemouth is great but you`ll have to walk if you want to eat out and drink.

"GOOD FOOD,VERY CLEAN."

We would have no hesitation in staying at this Hotel again. The staff were very helpful and friendly and what food we had there was very tasty and hot.All round excellent service. M Bray.
