"Good comfortable accommodation "

Good size room with comfy beds and enough space. All amenities were provided. Bathroom a little dated. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Good value for money.

"Helpful friendly staff and excellent breakfast"

A nicely presented twin room. The reception staff and staff generally were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent one of the best we have had in a London Hotel.

"Room Mistake"

Arrived early but staff arranged storage of baggage.Returned later to find been allocated a double rather than twin, awkward when sharing with teenage son.Eventually rectified...Breakfast overwhelmed with customers had to ask 3 times for coffee and toast... Nit good.

"Great bolt hole whilst travelling"

The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally helpful and knowledgable, for a business trip or overnight stop we couldn`t fault this hotel.

"Room was rather small, but the bed was very big!!"

Overall the hotel, the staff & breakfasts etc were very good & no real complaints there at all. On checking in, we were advised we had been "upgraded" to a "king-size" room & also that the contents of the minibar were complimentary - on going to the room, however, we found we certainly had a king-size bed, but squeezed in to a small room, which seemed to be at the end of a corridor or on the corner of the building & thus had an odd angled shape to it (room 403), with tight wardrobe space & little room to move around the room - also as far as the minibar was concerned, there were only soft drinks in it, which wasn`t really of any concern to us, but not what we had anticipated! As already said, though, the hotel overall was very good, but would have been better for us if we`d had a slightly larger room, even with a normal-sized double bed!!

"Excellent experience"

Our stay at the Mercure Kensington was very pleasant. The room was spotlessly clean, beds were very comfortable and all the little extras made it seem we were welcome. The seating area outside the hotel was lovely. The staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good, couldn`t fault it. The only problem was the lift. We were in a room on the 5th floor but the lift wouldn`t stop on 5 so we had to go up to 6 and walk down the stairs, then on the morning of our departure after breakfast we were told the lift was out of order so we had stairs to climb all the way up level 5 and then back down again with our luggage. This however would not stop me staying there again but I will request a room on the 1st floor just to be on the safe side

"Comfortable hotel with excellent service"

We have stayed in many hotels of this particular group and the Mercure Kensington does not disappoint. Ideally placed and near to the Albert Hall and other site in this area

"Mercure Kensington"

Excellent hotel, clean and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, the bar was small but the right size for the hotel and very smart and clean.The hotel is in a fantastic place for visits to London easy to get around on the tube and bus.

Lovely staff, nice room although we had to upgrade due to the first room being too small. Great breakfasts. all facilities very clean and tidy.

"Nice hotel; friendly staff."

The double room offered was very small and next to the lift shaft. I requested a defferent room and I was happy to pay £30 for an upgrade to a larger double room. This could have been made clearer when makiing the original booking and may have affected my choice of hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, although they did wish to take £50 from my credit card (hotel policy?) to cover any incidental expenditure. This, I declined to let them do. It also appears to be a growing trend in other hotels to take money from credit cards "on account".

"I`ll go back again!"

I stayed there with a friend on 10th November 2011. Round the corner from Gloucester Rd tube station, the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. A really clean and quiet room with a complimentary soft drink fridge. Will go back again.
