"Great choice and location to explore Edinburgh"
This hotel was an oasis after a long day of sightseeing. Pleasant and professional employees, especially the restaurant manager Michel G., who sent a bottle of wine to our room after a rather unpleasant breakfast experience. Also the bartender in the bar ( a Turkish Scot! ) is to be commended for his professionalism and hospitality. Lastly, the person who tidied out room daily was wonderful...this individual noticed we were showering with baby wipes and left washcloths for our use. Usually in European hotels we must specifically request them. Our only dissatisfaction was not being offered a welcome drink upon arrival as other guests and that the table with the water upon entering the hotel either had no water glasses to use or glasses placed without water to fill them. However, upon leaving I was very happy to have a taste of Scotland`s sweet tablet which was placed on the table. We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel.

"Perfect position "
G&V Edinburgh is right in the centre of the old town and a perfect base to explore the wider attractions. Our room was very luxurious and well appointed. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful throughout I would not hesitate to recommend the G&V
