This is the second time my family and I have stayed at the Athenaeum and both times we have been given a very warm welcome. The staff are very polite and obliging and the level of accommodation is good. We certainly intend to return in the future especially as the location is perfect for shopping and lovely park walks.

The hotel is lovely and conveniently placed. Our room felt very cold, especially on the first evening until we switched all the fans off and the bathroom never warmed up. The reception check on check out attempted to charge me for a cooked breakfast which I hadnt consumed. Other than that the stay was very good.
