We have had a wonderful few days at this hotel. I cannot fault it in any way. There is an excellent heating system at your hotel and in particular the bedroom was so warm and comfortable. The breakfast was truly comprehensive. I will definitely revisit this hotel for another stay in the future. Having the underground just around the corner was another added feature and bonus to staying at this hotel. Thank you so much for your attentiveness throughout the stay.

Very dated rooms and we were allocated accessible rooms although no one in our party has physical disabilities which would need them. The shower was not very powerful or warm and the enclosure was in a very poor condition. All in all not a very pleasant stay.

"PERFECT PLACE TO STAY"

This is the second time I have stayed at the Copthorne Tara and it really is a lovely Hotel, clean, warm, comfortable with welcoming staff and in a great location for visiting museums etc. Beds are very comfortable, and staff seem very attentive, I would certainly stay again.

"It wasn`t as good as when we went before"

We were disappointed with our stay this time at this hotel.There was no bottled water in the room and only a qr code for information on the hotel. The breakfast wasn`t as good with little choice and the tea and coffee was all out of a machine for breakfast. Drinks in the lobby were expensive and you had to use a disembodied card machine to pay. In general the hotel seem tired.

"A little tired, don`t get a room at the back."

Great location to visit museums. Hotel is expensive and looks a little tired. Our room was at the rear with a train track running parallel. Very noisy all through the night. If you prefer a hotel base I would personally use a holiday inn or premier inn. They would generally be cheaper.

"Perfect for one night in the centre of london"

Clean, quite, pleasant staff, very close to tube statuongood choice for breakfast. I personally found the bed a little hard but other than that a very pleasant stay

"Not a 4 star room no way near superior."

I booked a supirior double room in this 4 star Hotel. The facilities of the hotel may have met the 4 star requirements but the room was more 2 star. Small, old mixed style furniture, very noisy empty fridge, dubious electrical fittings, cracked basion, no sound protection from adjoining room, tierd decoration ans so on. Very poor.

"Excellent location, friendly staff"

The hotel reception and foyer is very nice, staff helpful and friendly at check in. The rooms are a lithe tired though, especially the bathrooms. Great buffet breakfast.

"Average at best"

Hotel was average at best, issues at checking as there were workmen in our room when we arrived for our 3pm checking.The room was very basic and in serious need of updating and definitely not a superior room as we booked, our room was by the main corridor door so had the enjoys of it banging shut all hour throughout the night.The bar was always closed by 11pm so when we returned from the shows we could not have a night cap, to finish the evening.

"Nice hotel "

All staff very attentive, rooms a tad dated but clean to a point, second stay and the restaurant has not got any better, staff good but food not the same if ordering again especially the Fish and chips second time in the week the chips were fries and the batter not as good! We declined buying breakfast because it was expensive. We would return as on the whole a good six nights.

"Good hotel in convenient area"

The hotel has a very efficient and friendly reception. Great staff. Very convenient for our purpose. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything about our stay was good. Our only reservation was that the room was a little `tired` and could do with a freshen up.

"Copthorne Tara Kensington."

Very nice hotel a short distance from High Street Kensington so quick connections to the City. Very friendly and helpful staff and the buffet breakfast was a delight. I would definitely stay at this Hotel again. I booked a twin room for myself and a friend and on arrival was given the option of a room away from the tube station which was appreciated. Our room had aircon and everything worked as it should; the beds were super comfy too.

"Room looked a little tatty "

Lovely reception area , helpful staff The only thing that let the hotel down was the room , needs some updating as things are showing their age .Our room 425 was a little stale smelling that you instantly smelt when coming or going from the room Our room over looked the track but due to think glazing this siding interrupt our sleep How very the beds very comfortable and the room instead was clean and tidy I would stay here again, for ease and location

"Basic items either missing or not working in room - very disappointing reaction time !"

We were told when we booked in at reception that we were `upgraded to a superior room`.`oh nice start to our stay`.Also given a drinks voucher.It all went down hill from there.We thought the superior room was `average`. We were on a time limit to get to the show.Hairdryer not working,no iron.I requested.Never received hairdryer despite chasing (luckily my husband went hunting and obtained from another room!) and it took ages for iron to be brought up. Before this was received I had continued to chase with reception and was told by the female who picked up the phone that she had requested these items `super quick`. When I asked if they would arrive in time for me to get ready for the show she said `well, I don`t know but let`s hope so.` I said so you can`t tell me how long? She said no. I asked `what if I miss the show due not being able to dry my hair or iron my top`.I felt the response was sarcastic.`Well lets hope it won`t come to that` in a very sarcastic and condescending voice!

Nice hotel but found breakfast was cold 2nd day went down for breakfast is was cold again so left it and went out for breakfastAlso found the bathroom outdated found difficult getting in to the bath for a shower not good for the less agile need to get rid of the bath and put in a walk in shower Expensive over £3 for a small bottle of water

The hotel served the purpose very well. Really impressed by the standard of service and customer care by Hotel Direct. Should the need arise in the future, I would have no hesitation in contacting Hotel Direct again.

"Decent hotel in good location"

Stayed for 2 nights, had bed and breakfast. Room was very comfortable although pillows on beds could have been better and there were no spare ones in wardrobe. The air conditioning was quite noisy, otherwise room was well equipped with tea/coffee facilities, fridge, safe, hairdryer and a clean bathroom with plenty towels. Breakfast time was quite manic though, self service buffet ,far too busy, tables not being cleared quick enough and running out of certain foods and juices, so people having to wait etc...Could have done with more staff. On the whole though, was a decent stay and would probably come back again

"Cold full English breakfast. "

The room decor was tired. We had to call housekeeping for a remote battery. Even though the double glazing was tight shut, the noise from the railway kept us awake all night. All items of the Full English Breakfast was cold, including the plates.

"Anniversary Trip"

Hotel clean and welcoming, staff good. Breakfast experience very poor, worst ever in over 50 years of visiting London. So overcrowded we walked away from the queue first day and missed breakfast. Second day waited, room was too small/too many people. Bedlam finding a table. Non set or cleared after use, few staff looked frazzled. Food looked ok but put off by environment. Shame `cause room ok, but won`t be back.

"Amazing and a warm welcome ? "

We had a superior double ..which was nice and big ? shower with a bath which was very much needed after all the walking we did ? breakfast was brilliant..a really good variety?and the tube is less than 5 minutes away ? definitely come back ? Thankyou

"The room was tired and noisy."

The room we had was tired and needs a makeover.The bed was really comfortable. Unfortunately our room had an adjoining door making it very noisy especially when our neighbour had loud music playing from 5.30 am. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety. The hotel was a short walk from Kensington High Street which was perfect for us.

First room had dangerous electrics and we were moved. Second room was better but not very clean, pants down the back of cupboards, etc. Breakfast was crazy, poor staff running around and never enough cutlery or plates. Good location but needs a facelift.

"Great location."

This hotel is in quiet spot, less hectic than central london, easy to travel in and out of town though and enjoy the local sights of Kensington. We stayed in a standard room which was well equipped. Very comfortable bed. Efficient check in and check out, they stored our bags on our departure day, which allowed us to make the most of day before our evening flight home. Would stay here again.

After reading some bad reviews,I was very pleasantly surprised,the hotel was excellent,all the staff were pleasant we had a standard double room on the mezzanine floor which was clean,& lovely to come back to after a long tiring day the bed was so comfortable.Breakfast was good &again the staff were friendly & helpful.I. Would not hesitate to return here on future trips to London.

VERY noisy neighbours. Door banging & load noises at 1.30 & 03.30 on second night. Hairdryer was delivered at midnight the first night; we were in bed
