"Good hotel"

Great location, 2 mins walk from paddington train/tube station. Breakfast was great and staff are very helpful and friendly.

"Very nice people willing to please & offer service but no interfering in any way."

Yes. Basically just want a place to sleep so our tiny double room was cosy and my partner loved the breakfast. They helped me also with car park - I loved this.

"Gresham hotel"

Lovely hotel, staff very helpful and cheerful. Room quite small but very comfortable. Breakfast very filing. A most enjoyable stay.

"Clean,comfortable and in a good location but needs a few repairs"

Shower head in room 210 needs replacing and the toilet seat needs fixing in place apart from that the room was clean,tidy and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area and good transport links. If these few things were fixed I would rate the hotel as good

"Very very tired"

Our room was very basic with some drawers with no knobs a curtain rail with no curtains and cracked tiles on the floor in the shower room although there was plenty of hot water. There was tea and coffee making facilties but you had to put the kettle on a chair to boil it as the plug was too far away to put the kettle safely on the work service. The breakfast was cooked nicely and all the staff were friendly.The outside of the Gresham was in the process of being decorated and I hope that they are moving inside next as the location is ideal if you have a car for parking.

"Good value"

If you just need a roof over your head for a few nights in London, The Gresham is good enough. A bit dated, but very clean and the personnel is friendly as well. Very close to Paddington Station and Underground. The single room I have been into had a small table at the end of the bed that will make a bit difficult if you are too tall, but overall is OK and I will stay there again.

"Looking tired"

Did the job of provigin a bed at night, was clean and staff were friendly, very basic, very small. I wouldn`t want to stay more than a night or two, or if you were looking for a hotel room to relax in.

"Disappointed with hotel but in a good location. "

Room very very small. No plug in bathroom sink. Although on a quiet street inside the room was very noisy. Kept awake with people slamming doors and running up and down stairs. No heating controls and couldn`t open window.

The hotel was ok but unfortunately the family room was very small and with a buggy etc there was just not enough room. The tap was broken & there was no plug in the sink.

Hotel was good and within walking distance of a lot of places ie Madam Tussauds, Oxford Street breakfast at the hotel was well worth the money staff were lovely and helpful the only downside was the bathroom it was so cramped toilet roll holder in the way no plug for hand basin just a big hole and nowhere in the shower to put shampoo etc but still had a good stay

"Helpfull staff clean and cheery service"

In general the hotel is an acceptable establishment at an affordable rate. The staff were helpfull, polite and cheerfully.Breakfast was excellent value for money and was plentifully.rAlthough small my single room was clean and accommodating, on the whole a typical terrace hotel establishment as found in most borough locations.

"Better than expected"

Having read some awful reviews we were a bit concerned prior to our arrival. However we found staff to be helpful and friendly, room clean and fine for what we needed. Our only issue was with the lift which was incredibly slow and a bit scary but did get us up and down and saved us walking up and down the stairs with our luggage. Hotel was very convenient for Paddington Station

I would recommend the Gresham to anyone wanting to visit London! The rooms were clean, the breakfast was wonderful. The staff was awesome!

"Tired"

The lady on reception was very polite and helpful however the rooms were small, tired looking, tiles cracked in the bathroom on the floor, noisy as the small window was not double glazed. The room we were in was like an attic room, carpet and shower were dirty. The location was superb however to Hyde Park but wished we`d booked one of the other hotels in the area

"nice twin room"

Nice twin room with all mod cons. Very easy to find and with friendly and helpful staff. Slightly odd arrangement for kettle that couldn`t be filled from the bathroom tap and had to be plugged in under the dressing table...

"A clean hotel in an excellent geographic position"

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel was well kept and clean. The beds are very comfortable and a good nights sleep was easily achieved. Paddington station is a few minutes walk so getting around London was simple. I would definately use this hotel again.

"You get what you pay for "

Room was extremley small. Kettle didn`t work. You get what you pay for. We paid next to nothing for this hotel and I wouldn`t have wanted to stay for more than one night. Although reception staff were pleasant, we thought the hotel needed a bit of a make over

"Excellent location - Does what it says on the tin...basic"

Loved the location...struggled with only one power point under the dressing table for kettle, re-charging phone ect. Missing light-bulb next to bed...bed very uncomfortable.... We`re not fussy but some people may find it difficult...

"Ideal stay over in London that is central to all facilities"

For a 3 star hotel you expect pretty much what you pay for really, the only things important on our visit was that the room was clean on arrival, and this was the case, no complaint about that. Bed was clean and comfortable, clean towels, etc every day so I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget.Nothing to shout home about, but then again, I have seen and experienced a lot worse, and for having to have paid out a lot more. Did miss the microwave though. ****-

"basic"

Bit disappointing with decor and room size. Only 2 plug points, not ideal when charging phones, taps etc. I wouldn`t stop here again, I would prefer a little more comfort value

Pics on internet not what u get in real life! Staff ok clean downstairs,parking is 1 space! For whole hotel room basic which would be fine if didn`t have old dirty blind in window and mould on window sill defo needs redecorating close to shops and Hyde

"This room was booked as a double. please read review. I fully intended putting in a complaint."

Dreadful room 8ft x 8ft. No outside window. Internal window covered with white blind, light shining in all night. Bed only 4ft wide, no mattress cover on bed. Lying on mattress buttons all night. No plug in bathroom sink. no space to put anything. Told ground floor room being used as lift broken. When told said the skylight could be opened but we would be cold in night! Never slept. Dreadful experience

"pleasantly surprised"

Booked a theatre break as an early xmas pressie for myself and partner. Picked hotel for location. Didn`t read the reviews first which with hindsight was niave. Was very disappointed after reading most of reviews. As I booked in August I spent the months worrying about my choice. When we arrived we received a warm welcome from the staff. The hotel was very clean and fresh. Our room was not very big but we didn`t spend much time in it so that wasn`t a problem. My only problem was that there was no shelves in bathroom for our toiletries. All in all a very good visit and would definitely recommend to try it out.
