Reception staff attentive, helpful and pleasant.Rooms,bathroom a bit tired and not really 4 star.Very disappointed that they were not able to provide me with a full english gluten free breakfast that I had paid for.Their excuse was I should have warned them first.Decent experienced hotels don`t need advance notice of cooking a breakfast for someone with Coeliac.I explained I wasn`t bothered about provision of gluten free bread.I just wanted people serving me to be aware of the need for gf food and any cross-contamination issues.Cooking eggs and bacon and mushroom in a separate pan with separate utensils is not rocket science.None of the staff had a clue including the manager.This is just not good enough for a `4 star hotel in London` at a price that was 4 times the price of a B and B that I added stayed at earlier in the week, that provide GF breakfast without a fuss.Very disappointedI asked for refund of my breakfast this was refused because I paid through an agent.

"Needs some tender loving care"

Club room double. Worn carpet. Bathroom cramped and remedial works poor. Breakfast very average and they can`t fry an egg! Tea / coffee comes by the cup rather than the pot. More like a transport cafe.Nice garden outlook over a small park.

"Excellent location"

Good for a short stop over/breakThey should double check that you are booked at the hotel when you get in late at night...but overall pleasant stay with good breakfast.

"Fantastic hotel"

Brilliant hotel. Good size bedroom for 3 and housekeeping exceptional. Breakfast had a large choice and leaves you feeling full until mid afternoon. Food of exceptional quality. Staff pleasant and helpful at all times. Only a 5 minute walk from Paddington which makes it easy to get around London on the tubes. Will stay here again and recommend it for families and groups of friends.

"Clean and comfortable"

No tea making facility,no hairdryer,water tepid in the shower.Overhaul very clean and comfortable

"Excellent ! Amazing value for money with the theatre package."

Brilliant room would definitely recommend, admittedly the rooms are cosy but comfy beds, sparkling bedding, very clean all round, good shower and plenty of hot water. Amazing full English breakfast, very friendly staff, eager to help. Short walk to both Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate tube all in all a lovely short break, thank you. We will be visiting again

"Not hear Hyde Park, opposite Paddington Station."

No heating working in room a dangerously placed heater in bathroom had to be plugged into extension socket in bedroom, the cable was threaded under carpet , you could not close bathroom door if you wanted heat in the bathroom. not very good. Got into lift it wouldn`t work, door would not open after a few minutes they opened the door. we didn`t trust it again.Breakfast lovely.

"Marvellous hotel, try it and see!"

Was booked into the Quality Direct, 8-14 Talbot Square, but when we got there they told us that we had been upgatded to their sister hotel, which was the Indigo, just round the corner. This was the most wonderful hotel, it was small and might not be to everybodys liking, but it was superb. Even down to the expresso maker in the corner of the room. Shower was fantastic and I dont think it had been done very long. We had the most wonderful sleep we have had, beds were so comfortable and as we had just returned from France it was a real treat! Breakfast was out of this world. If ever you get the chance, do try this hotel as it is one of the best and a hidden gem.

A nice hotel but not luxury 4 star with regard to accommodation. small twin room but adequate for a 1 night stay. however, the breakfast was very good for a buffet especially for the price we paid.
