The hotel is in a terrific situation,close to the metro station (minutes to the city centre),the staff were more than helpful,nothing was too much trouble,rooms excellent,beds very comfortable ,we cannot find any fault at all 128536;

We spent a most enjoyable five days at the Holiday Inn Newcastle Jesmond. We stayed in a King Leisure room which was very comfortable and was cleaned to a high standard every day by the friendly and helpful staff. My only criticism, and the reason I have rated the hotel `Good` rather than `Excellent`, was the lack of drawer and hanging space with the result that most of our clothes had to remain in our suitcases during our stay. All the staff were extremely pleasant and efficient particularly in the restaurant where even at very busy periods tables were cleared promptly and food on the hot and cold breakfast buffet regularly refreshed. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is well situated within walking distance of the city centre, the Metro system and local buses and although on a main road we were never bothered by traffic noise. I can recommend this hotel as a good base for exploring the Newcastle area.
