"Wonderful hotel "
Fantastic hotel. Friendly. Bed so comfy and pillows amazing.. breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in easy reach of everything. Tube station close by. We had a great stay .

Nice, clean and comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Great food. Would benefit from double glazing to cut down noise (although the noise wasn`t that bad, didn`tkeep us awake).

Very clean and comfortable rooms providing all that is needed for a pleasant stay. Helpful, friendly staff. Lovely breakfast with a good choice. Easy reach of Oxford Street etc. Our favourite place to stay when visiting London.

Excellent location. Comfortable clean hotel. Lovely breakfast. Great for a short term base. Only issue was the refurbishment noise but didn`t really affect us as we were out most of the time.

We have stayed at this hotel three times now and it is lovely and the staff are always very courteous and helpful. The problem is that they have refurbished the bathrooms and have fitted showers with water governors that have reduced the water pressure which means that they simply do not work properly so I don`t think we will be staying at this hotel again which is a real pity.

Lovely hotel. Rooms good with very comfy beds and pillows. Bathroom ok. The most powerful shower I have ever had. Did have an issue with water draining tho so need to be mindful of that. Lovely relaxing bar and lounge area.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and probably would stay again however refurbishment work meant it was noisy and work did start earlier on some mornings than advisedFacilities staff need to check their work..had to come to reception to ask for toilet roll and another day they attempted to clean room at 3 pm when we had come back to get changed to go to theatre, also put wet towel on top of my nightclothes and put on top of my case

Staff very accommodating, room clean and specious. Beds extremely comfortable with well equipped bathroom. Shower powerful and warm. Breakfast was an extra at £15 ph but definitely worth the money

"Good budget hotel except the refurbishments"
The hotel is ideally situated. Its a short walk to the underground and not too far to walk to lots of bistable places. The majority of the staff were very friendly and would go out of their way to help you. The rooms are basic but have everything that you need. It was clean however there was a horrible stale body odour smell ingrained into the room. Beds were very comfy however the refurbishments started at 8am each morning so it was impossible to sleep/rest any later than this. The refurb is a shame as I can`t fault anything else for the price we paid to stay, however I wouldn`t recommend staying until the works have completed.

"Overall a very well run hotel"
We had a couple of problems on arrival but these were sorted very quickly and professionally. We were on the newly refurbished 7th floor, both rooms had everything you needed, room to hang clothes, a place to put your luggage, seating, a lovely comfortable bed and a clean and adequate shower room. Lovely seating area for afternoon & evening food and drinks followed by a breakfast buffet room to die for, any breakfast and beverage you could wish for. Would have given a higher rating but one of the bedrooms radiators didn`t work so a bit chilly, too late in the evening to report and only staying the one night. Overall no complaints, really enjoyed the stay and would definitely book again for another stay in the future

Overall the hotel is good. Only downfall was location of room above a very noisy vent and the smell of the kitchen food. Because of this we couldn`t open the window and the room was very warm and stuffy

"Noise from upgrading works was worse than advised"
We were initially allocated a room on the 7th floor away from any work and noise but after 2 attempts staff could not get the electronic lock to open so we were given a small room on the 6th floor room 639. Work was underway in 2 rooms next to mine from 8.00 till 17.00 throughout my stay.

"Dirty carpets"
Group of 4 booked 2 rooms for 2 nights with breakfast. Carpets in one room smelt of damp and both rooms needed thorough vacuuming and be steamed cleaned or be completely replaced. That said the bathroom had been refurbished and showering was a pleasant experience at the end of a long day. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Good choice on offer for breakfast and staff were pleasant and accommodating especially when I requested the rooms be vacuumed. This made little difference as I don`t think the vacuum cleaner was working properly. Anyway I thanked them and did my best to ignore the state of the carpet

"Great locaation for Shaftsbury Theatre"
A nice hotel in a good, easy accessible location. The room was OK. Served its purpose for a one night theartre trip. Bed very comfortable, pillows great. Nicely decorated and ability to watch Netflix on TV after the show was a nice added bonus. Didn`t stop for breakfast or any meals so can`t comment on them. The most important question.....Would we stay again? It`s a yes from us.

Hotel staff were so friendly and couldn`t do enough for ou you, room were lovely but too warm and no air con to cool down, would have to check if some rooms have air con next time or I wouldn`t stay again.

From check in to check out was perfect. Lovely helpful staff. It was my 60 th birthday and got given complimentry breakfast. Was in a newly refurbished room which was very nice. Will definitely return in future.

"Not good!!"
Clearly a lot of money has been spent on the public areas. This gives you a false sense of security for what you`ll find as you exit the elevator to your room. The carpets, beds and bathrooms are in a very sorry state of repair and that`s putting it as nicely as I can.
