"Good location with plenty of bus stops and tube nearby"

We were quite comfortable although the room around the bed was tight for large people.

A little too warm in the Hotel, and would liked to have been told if Wi Fi was available. I was under the impression I had purchased Bed and breakfast, but it was room only which I thought was a lot of money for 2 nightd not to have breakfast too.

"Had to change room due to the untidyness as the walls were dirty and so were the floors."

Overall the hotel was nice but having to change room was very annoying. Also the pictures of the rooms did not match the actually room sizes. In the next room me and my girlfriend stayed in the shower leaked after every use and the room was ridiculously small.

First impressions were good,reception area very welcoming. However,although the `advanced double` room (which was discounted)we were given was not upto the standard we would expect. Very small,with a small `wardrobe`,which you had to shuffle round the bed to get to! Also the noise from the road and being directly opposite two lifts! The bathroom smelt awful too,rotten vegetation would best describe it!!

"Very clean and tidy, somewhat well maintained."

Upon arrival we found the reception/lobby area to be very nicely decorated with an air of sophistication. The rooms are nice and modern. Although some attention to detail in some areas of maintenance could be addressed such as chipped paintwork and cracks. And inpatient maid service on one morning even thoigh we had a do not disturb sign on the door.

Double room was very small but we were very happy with stay and continental breakfast. Will def stay there again

"Friendly and helpful staff, cheap and good value."

The hotel was basic, but clean and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The only downside was the smellIn the bathroom, problem with the drains or something.

"Walk from Paddington Station, helpful reception staff, clean room. Breakfast good continental"

Nice discovery to know the hotel is a short walk from Paddington Station where we arrived by Heathrow Express from the airport. Reception staff were nice, spoke good English. Our double room was upgraded to a loft studio for five persons. There were three single beds and one double. Bedsheets and towels clean. Good breakfast in a cosy dining area.

"Very cheap price, so very cheap hotel!"

Fairly clean, staff tidy and polite, all consumables `budget` and poor quality. Was given a tiny lower ground floor room with unsafe window with broken lock so asked to be moved. Was subsequently given pleasant room on third floor.

Very noisy, room in the basement next to some stairs and a room and at 2.00 in the morning some men were clearing things out and were very noisy, swearing and throwing bags down the stairs. We called reception twice who said they would be finished in 10 minutes but they shouldnt have even been making that noise at that time in the morning.

"Room was nice and spacious..."

Very noisey in the morning, at one stage I got up to see if someone was in my room because the house keeping was so loud and the flooring made every foot step echo!! No fridge!!

"Nice hotel in lovely area of London"

A very nice hotel with very friendly staff. Very clean room = perhaps a little on the small side for a double! But very enjoyable nevertheless.

"Get what you pay for"

First of all, its a great location. For London prices, it is probably value for money but its not the Hilton. so don`t be disappointed. If your expecting the Hilton, then better book in the Hilton. What I found in the Royal Eagle - the room was clean, the bed was clean and comfy, the staff were friendly and helpful and the Continental Breakfast, although a little expensive for me , was OK. Its an old hotel, which had a good feel about it, but it also needed a little maintenance work in the room, the laminate floor needed some repair work. All in all, my son and I enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

"This hotel is in a good location and ideal for a short stay "

There is a major issue with the quality of TV`s - the one we had in our bedroom was similar to the one my family had in 1958 - we had to get management to tune it in and one of the managers had no idea of how to do so ? - for goodness sake spend a little money and install decent modern flat screen models - until they do my wife and I will not be staying in this hotel again - thank you

"good location, quality average"

it is central and close to Paddington station. The rooms are a bit small, there is a hotel bar that is dreary and bar food that is frightening. WiFi costs money and did not work for me.It is an ok place to stay if you don`t really spend a lot of time in the hotel.

room was quite small but room was clean warm and staff were friendly. Reception staff accomendated us as we arrived quite early so we was able to check in strsight away. very pleasant stay and would consider staying again
