It was immaculately clean and the bedding was beautifully fresh and sooooo cosy. We were on the second floor and there was some noise from the pub/club at the back of the hotel but it was not too much of a problem however I would suggest ear plugs. Requests for more tea and milk were immediately dealt with and delivered to the room. The hotel was a two minute walk from the bus stop on O`Connell Street to and from the airport and a ten minute walk to Temple Bar. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the Academy Plaza to friends and Family.

Room 145 was quite noisy at night and on first nite there was a problem with the bathroom fan (stayed on all night & was verynoisy!). Went for breakfast at 9.30 ( finishes at 10am) and hardly anything left. Very disappointing

The room was furnished and decorated to a high standard and well equipped. Would definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone staying around the city centre.

The noise continues into the early hours! The double glazing needs to be more efective. The other issue would be the smell that lingers into the foyer from the `in-house` Chinese restaurant. A pity about this as the hotel is very conveniently placed for central Dublin and offers many facilities.

We arrived on a Saturday. Vent and cold water problem we thought would not be able to be fixed until Monday. This did not happen. On Tuesday we requested a change of room. We were up graded to a family room with no extra cost. Staff are excellent. Breakfast unchanged throughout our 5day stay. Abacus buffet AWFUL!! Not enough staff on at breakfast time.

Staff were friendly, and facilities were good. There were no nasty surprises on entering our room, it was fresh and comfortable. We had no previous experience of this hotel (booked online) but couldn`t fault it. Everyone has different experiences in hotels, and therefore different tales to tell, but this is an honest review and we would recommend anyone looking to stay in Dublin to seriously consider the Academy Plaza.

Staff very friendly especially the guy at the bar. we spent three days there and we always went out for breakfast apart from the last day and I have to say it was fantastic. Dublin is a very expensive city and to be honest the breakfast in the hotel was excellent and worth every penny or cents...:-) comparing to other cafes very cheap. Anyway I would definetely recommend this Hotel to eveyone. Great week end .

The hot food was almost cold, with indigestable over salty bacon, greasy eggs ( fried - there was no other choice available). The tomatoes were stone cold and the tinned mushrooms were cheap and had a nasty taste. There was no jam provided for the croissants 9 which were inedible in any event. The food in the hotel`s two restaurants left much to be desired. Having picked the two most expensive dishes available in Harry;s , the lamb shank was returned, since it was grey in colour and tough in texture. and half of the the sirloin steak was left on the plate, as it was too tough to eat. Altogether an unpleasant evening.
