The room was small but this was expected, the bathroom was clean and well presented, although the shower head was so low I couldn`t stand under it. All the staff were were nice and very helpful, particularly Tolga in the restaurant. I would stay again.

"Very enjoyable stay "

What a lovely hotel, the architecture is breathtaking. I stayed in a city single room which was quite small, but well fitted out and was very comfortable.There was a fridge, which was a bonus and the bathroom was nice. I can highly recommend this fabulous hotel.

"BEAUTIFUL HOTEL"

The hotel was immaculate and so opulent. The room was spotless.It was in a prime area for the Theatre, Covent Garden and the British Museum.Breakfast was extensive and very nice. Nothing was any trouble for the staff. My only criticism is the charge for water if you ate at the Restaurant of £3.40 per bottle, as the same water was free at breakfast but just in a jug and not a bottle, and the charge for bringing your drinks to your table in the bar of £1.50 !!!! Other than that its a fabulous hotel.

"This hotel made our Golden Wedding stay truly special"

We visited London for a few days to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary & are so pleased that we chose to stay in the wonderful Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel. The history,decor & ambience are fascinating & the staff go to great lengths to make your stay really special. The food was delicious, especially the meal celebrating the Game Season, which we chose to celebrate our anniversary - memorable. A special mention must go to Gunther, the Guest Relations Manager, who showed genuine care that our visit should be as near perfect as possible. Thank you so much - you have given us many happy memories. Richard & Alison Lambert

"Very pleasant stay, friendly smiling staff, clean, comfortable beds and pillows. I would stay again"

Every effort made for gluten free which is really appreciated, really. Breakfast made the day. The only thing was the sink was slow to drain.

The staff were polite. Breakfast was lovely it was just unfortunate that our room backed onto some kind of generator or something that was very noisy, can`t be helped but am very tired today.

"Rooms poor quality"

On arrival, we were given the smallest room ever seen...it is a good thing we did not bring the cat as there was not room to swing it! We were moved to a slightly larger room when we complained but considering the website stressed the multimillion pound refurbishment, I feel this has not reached the rooms. The bed was lumpy and noisy, the bathroom fittings were all loose and there was a general feel of shabbiness about it. The rooms shown on the website are obviously not the ones given to genuine guests who come to London for a special weekend for a treat!....a shame, it looked so promising!

"Wonderful time at Hotel Russell"

The Hotel Russell is a pure delight to stay in. It feels special from the moment that you walk into the lobby and book in. Room was comfortable with everything that you need. Only issue was trying to control the room temperature but I got the hang of that eventually.Food was excellent and the staff were superb. I will happily stay in this hotel again

"A lovely hotel, well situated to Euston and St Pancra stations- approx 12-20 mins walk."

Although our room was on the 7th floor and fairly small, it was very well planned and laid out. It offered a small separate entrance leading off to the shower room before entering the bedroom. All the facilities you would expect were present and the whole area was very clean. The only negative was that the double bed was against a wall which meant my hubby (not me!) had to clamber up and down the bed when needing to get up in the night. We both felt this could easily have been rectified with a little better room layout. However we were overall very pleased with the stay and would go back again.

"Shabby - good location but living off former glories. Room small, cold & uncomfortable."

Staff were friendly but inefficient and didn`t seem to know much about surrounding area for bars/restaurants. Breakfast was good. Overall overpriced, certainly wouldn`t be rushing back and couldn`t honestly recommend.

The staff were so helpful and charming but to be charged for wifi is not justifiable and rather lets the hotel down.

Fantastic location, beautiful hotel with spacious twin room.we had wheelchair access room so enormous bathroom.Need more milk for tea though, and £3 for small bottle of water is ridiculous, even for London!

"Hotel Staff Were Great"

I had booked a night here for my girlfriends birthday and from the moment we arrived to when we left was great service. Every member of staff that we had contact with could not of helped us more if they tried. I upgraded to the junior bridal suite and it was worth it. The location is spot on. Walking distance to the theatre, Oxford street, Covent garden and so on. I have stayed in London so many times and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone having a special occasion.

"Original elegance throughout main areas with modern rooms. "

Were disappointed with breakfast room - it felt like we were in a works canteen - which was totally not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Shame! Especially at £19 per head. Although the food itself was fine the coffee wasn`t good at all.
