Guest rating: | 21/8/2010 | | "basic but clean" | | | | the room was quite big: the beds comfortable: bathroom clean, (though shower head wouldn`t stay up and our request for it to be mended hadn`t been honoured): receptionists excellent: breakfast good (as much coffee and juice as we wanted): close to a main Metro (12): all in all, a good little hotel!

Guest rating: | 18/8/2010 | | "Very comfortable stay, great location for sightseeing, friendly helpful staff. A+ " | | | | Close to metro and a great restaurant "Le Source" near the convention metro station. Two courses 13 euros, three courses 15 euros, very nice food served by friendly staff. Great shopping centre next to Montparnasse 56 tower. Local stalls along rue de la convention, Carrefour supermarket across the road from the hotel where you can get a cheap lunch. Take a travel kettle with you as there are no complimentary tea + coffee facilities.Comfy beds and decent sized rooms with a good size en suite ( no bath) shower, wc, and wash hand basin.Rooms cleaned and made up daily if required with fresh towels. Continental breakfast only and no bar or restaurant. Lift facilities for disabled access.

Guest rating: | 17/8/2010 | | "A really nice place to stay" | | | | I booked a triple room for my two adult daughters and myself for a short break and it was ideal for this occasion. The room was large enough for 3 and the bathroom too with a powerful shower. I was pleasantly surprised to find that a 2 star hotel gave us clean towels each day and shower gel etc. The breakfast was good and plentiful and although a distance from the sights it was nice to stay in a less touristy area. The Sunday market was an added delight and the metro into Paris was easy to use and the trains frequent. The staff were friendly too.

Guest rating: | 27/7/2010 | | "Clean & functional hotel ideal for single travellers" | | | | I stayed for one night and found the hotel to be very clean and adequate for my needs. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was basic but okay. I stayed on the Saturday night and was awoken early by the erection of the street market outside. I would stay here again though as it is a good budget hotel.

Guest rating: | 26/7/2010 | | "Great hotel, good area, very impressed." | | | | My daughter, granddaughter and I had a three day stay at the Ajiel wwhile in Paris to see the end of the Tour de France. The hotel staff were very friendly, helping the 11 year old with her French. The area was fine, with eating places near the hotel. The market on Sunday morning was an extra bonus.

Guest rating: | 13/7/2010 | | "In a very good location near the Metro and busses pass the door" | | | | Right in the thick of things, and as a result a little noisey in the night Clean if a little worn, walking distance from Sein and not far from the Eiffel Tower. Good value for the money. Breakfasts very good.

Guest rating: | 10/7/2010 | | "A nice hotel with good service. Would recommend." | | | | Located (a fair) walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, but close to Convention Metro. There is a small market three times a week outside the hotel and nice shops and a supermarket which seemed to be open all hours. Breakfast of croissants, rolls, toast, cereals, cheeses etc. Good facilities, very clean. Staff all friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Guest rating: | 27/5/2010 | | "The staff were courteous, my bathroom was attractively designed and there was a lift (elevator)." | | | | There`s a great late-night convenience store on your left, just before you reach the hotel, where you can buy water. It`s staffed by charming chaps. There`s also a good street market on some days (mainly food). This is only a 2-star hotel, so don`t expect air-con, or ham and eggs and proper coffee with your breakfast. Plainly, the hotel is too far out if you plan to be on the town after the Metro stops, unless you can afford a cab back. If you like a bath, you`ll need to bring your own universal bath-plug. Ask for cotton pillow-cases, if you don`t like their man-made ones (which in the UK we would call pillow protectors). I mainly chose Ajiel because I couldn`t find a suitable, affordable more central hotel that had a lift; I tend to travel heavy.

Guest rating: | 10/3/2010 | | "Great for a couples weekend" | | | | I satyed at Ajiel for 3 nights and found the hotel very satisfactory. Price was reasonable staff were friendly and the location was ideal. Close to the metro, market directly outside the hotel and an excellent supermarket across the street. Great view from the room, but the drawbacks were that the bed squeaked and there was only one english channel on the tv. Apart from that i would definitely recommend the Ajiel Hotel.

Guest rating: | 7/12/2009 | | "lovely location" | | | | As previous commentators have noted, this hotel was in a brilliant location - very Parisien with a lovely walk between the Metro station and the hotel, wandering amidst the market. Very easy to get to. Rooms clean, comfortable and very functional. Breakfasts unimaginative and lacking in variety. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good lift between floors to transport luggage.

Guest rating: | 19/10/2009 | | "Good Value & transport links" | | | | Stayed here with friends over a long weekend, while not central it was easy to access the Metro and the area had a really nice feel to it with lots of cafes, bars, patisseries and a big Carrefour across the road. A couple of people found it a bit cold as the heating wasn`t on yet, but we didn`t have that problem. Breakfast was included and was your typical continental.

Guest rating: | 28/9/2009 | | "No Mirror in room for Hair !!" | | | | The hotel was ok clean and very near to the metro. The continenental breakfast was ok, Orange juice, cereals, bread, croissants, bread rolls with juice or hot drinks. The bathroom was small but adequate. Ladies take a mirror with you as the only one was in the bathroom.

Guest rating: | 18/9/2009 | | "For a 2* hotel it was better than expected. Rooms were clean, Breakfast was ok." | | | | This was our 1st time in Paris therefore was not to sure what to expect. The hotel was close to Convention station so we took the Metro from Gare Du Nord which was straight forward. The hotel was clean and the room was a nice size. The bathroom looked like it was newly refurbished and very spacious. There wasn`t to much choice for breakfast but on the whole we had a pleasant stay.
