Guest rating: | 10/1/2011 | | "-" | | | | The room was ok but the hotel is being renovated and does not look like the photos on the web site. The carpet on the corridors looks old and dirty. The wall paper in the bathroom was coming off. The general out look of the hotel is not good but the staff are friendly and it is in a convinient location.

Guest rating: | 13/4/2010 | | "Paris is hugely expensive and this very average hotel in not a great area reflects that." | | | | Staff were polite and friendly and the buffet breakfast (which was included in the price) was good. With respect, the hotel was average at best (I would rate it as just 2-star by UK standards). It is in a protracted period of renovation which is badly needed. The internal stairs, for example, slope alarmingly, the lift is tiny and the room (we had to be moved as we were a family of four, placed initially in a room with 3 single beds), whilst reasonably comfortable and clean, was very basic and decorated from the 70s. The Metro station was right outside the front door which was a bonus. I would not stay here again, but it depends what you are looking for, I suppose, and how much you want to pay.

Guest rating: | 26/10/2009 | | "the hotel made an error with our reservation, expecting us to arrive the date of our departure" | | | | One lift has been out of action for a long period and the other lift was not operating for some of our stay. The breakfast is disappointing. But the rooms are fairly large for Paris and the reception staff are always helpful and friendly. It is in a good location with excellent bus and metro links.

Guest rating: | 16/8/2009 | | "Adequate Hotel" | | | | Don`t judge a book by its cover. Pictures on the internet do not represent the reality. The hotel was in a great location for all the city attractions if you dont mind a little walk. Room was clean. Staff were very friendly. Many parts of this hotel could do with an upgrade but if you want a cheap hotel in an ok area then look no further.

Guest rating: | 12/8/2009 | | "-" | | | | We have just returned from our stay at the Brebant and we were really happy with it. The room had seen better days but I liked the shabby chic feel to the hotel, it was quirky with stunning original features and some very tasteful refurbishment going on as well. The breakfast room is lovely and the breakfast great - you really could fuel up for a day of sightseeing. The location is superb - there`s a metro stop right outside the front door and although the main road is busy none of us (including 3 year old and a 5 year old) had problems sleeping. You can easily walk to lots of sights as well as cafes and restaurants - there`s even a good supermarket nearby. The room was ready on arrival and the staff were friendly and helpful. I think for the price of the room the Brebant is great value for money considering the breakfast, location and pleasantness of the hotel. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and I`d love to stay there again. Guest rating: | 7/6/2009 | | "-" | | | | The average rating is because there was a shortage of storage space. One wardrobe and no drawer space is not sufficient for a triple room. We basically had to live out of suitcases for the four days. Not good!

Guest rating: | 5/5/2009 | | "Good hotel for the price." | | | | The Brebant is reasonably priced and you get what you pay for. The room was old and tired but was clean and comfortable. The staff were very polite and very helpful. We found the hotel to be an excellent base from which to explore the city. The hotel is currently being refurbished and you get a taste of what the finished product will be like when you use the newly refurbished breakfast room. Looks like they are going for a `boutique hotel` look. That will mean increased prices! We would book again.

Guest rating: | 8/4/2009 | | "Having booked a family room for 4, on arrival the hotel told us they don`t have rooms with 4 beds!" | | | | We booked a family room for four and were disappointed to discover that our triple room would have to accommodate an extra bed. We were expecting four full sized beds not 3 and a cot or small child`s bed or similar. When the bed was delivered it wasn`t put up properly and fell on my foot when I put a suitcase on it! Four beds in a triple room was quite a squeeze only one of us could get out of bed to the side, three of us got in and out via the end!On the up side - Great location / great breakfast.

Guest rating: | 8/4/2009 | | "The Brebant would we go back?" | | | | The Brebant`s rooms have seen better days. The rooms and the bathrooms are dated, very small and shabby. They were not really suitable for a family of four. However they were cleaned everyday. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially on the reception. The breakfast room was one of the saving graces of the hotel, it was light and modern, the breakfast was EXCELLANT and the staff were fab. The location is on a very busy road and as the doors didn`t work properly in our room we did feel at times that we were laying in a bar with traffic zooming around us. Would we stay here again? not sure if the bedrooms and bathrooms improved we might think about it.

Guest rating: | 9/3/2009 | | "Comfortable and convenient." | | | | The hotel was comfortable and convenient for the metro. The facilities were good and the breakfast was all you`d need.It was warm and there was a good seal on the window which cut out the traffic noise. (Could do with decorating.)

Guest rating: | 3/12/2008 | | "Nice and comfortable, well situated next to Metro." | | | | The room was comfortable with good heating and individual airconditioning. The decor is looking a little tired but the hotel is full of character. Did not notice any smoke alarms in the bedroom or bathroom but then French fire regulations may be different from ours here in the UK. Would certainly stay there again.

Guest rating: | 23/10/2008 | | "A very good place to stay in Paris" | | | | Great location within walking distance of many attractions - Louvre, Notre Dame, Pompidou Centre, Musee D`Orsay, Les Halles. Next to a Metro station with easy access to Gare Du Nord. Good range of restaurants in immediate neighbourhood. Hotel itself in need of a face-lift but room and bathroom were clean and suprisingly big for Paris. Good Continental breakfast. Very helpful staff all speaking good English.

Guest rating: | 2/7/2008 | | "-" | | | | I was disappointed to find on arrival that the Brebant did not have a booking for me. As a result I, and my family, were given inferior rooms at the rear of the hotel ( this was after a delay of 30 mins +, not ideal after a long hot journey!). The staff were apologetic but couldn`t do any more than was possible. They suggested that the problem lay with yourselves.

Guest rating: | 19/6/2008 | | "First class location for 3 star hotel" | | | | Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was just great for myself and my daughter, with Grand Boulevards metro directly outside the hotel entrance. 5-10 minutes walk turning right out of the entrance takes you to a great shopping area, with 2 large department stores. The whole area around the hotel is jam packed with restaurants and cafes. We had a twin room on the 3rd floor and it was clean and surprisingly large for Paris. The breakfast was continental and I can recommend the apricot pastry. We had a great stay at this hotel and I will recommend it for position, value and comfort.

Guest rating: | 12/6/2008 | | "-" | | | | Good location but on a very busy road, so shame about the noise at the front from traffic and people and at the back from men moving dustbins all night and an air con unit sounding like a fog horn (take ear plugs if you want to sleep). Staff very friendly and helpful. The decor was very dated but this will change when Holiday Inn Express start the renovation work. The room was basic and comfortable with a bar but no tea/coffee making facilities or hairdryer. Breakfast was amazing although continental the choice was vast and unlimited. One thing the plumbing was so loud you could here the toilet flush down the corridor.
