"Nice hotel - Was not expecting the early check-in fee"

The hotel was lovely and the staff was very polite. However, the early check-in fee was a bit unexpected. Also,we had a take away breakfast, which was a bit stale.

"Just a little more effort would go along way."

Two suggestion for the future, at breakfast 1 more member of staff helping clean seat and serve would have made the difference between frustrating and a pleasant experience. Secondly just a small problem 1 pillow on the beds, this was foam not comfortable and there should be 2 on all beds. There were no spare pillows in the bedrooms.As I said just 2 small things, the staff were friendly and pleasant at all times.

"really nice hotel, a gem for Hounslow"

Lovely staff, decor and rooms. The swimming pool looked lovely but needs a bit of repair, lots of tiles coming off etc - only critism (constructive!) I can find about the place.

"Super hotel for the price. A long way out of London (40m on tube) but brilliant for Heathrow."

This was a fantastic hotel for the money - we had two rooms, a twin and a double and both were large by London standards and very good - definitely book twins next time as much larger than double. Breakfast was good, tube station only 3 mins walk and staff friendly and helpful. For the price, I doubt you could get better but was a long tube ride to Central London.

Friendly staff. Well equiped gym. Good sized pool in spite of the yobs using it. Only criticism is that the room was a bit stuffy.

"Not in the best neighborhood."

Not up to my standards of cleanliness. Very small room. One small pillow on each bed. We would not return to this hotel despite the most helpful staff.

Room was lovely, really good value. Excellent shower. Hotel staff on reception lovely and really helpful. The waitress at breakfast (we got there at half 10 and it closed at 11) looked at her watch and seemed extremely put out to accommodate us, even though we were finished by 11. We also ate in hotel for evening meal and the food was really nice.

"NIGHTMARE TO FIND IN THE DARK - NO VISABLE HOTEL NAME"

Arriving in the dark is a nightmare even the sat nat gets confused and no visible hotel name unless you are a garaffe and looking up to the top of the hotel (very difficult when driving). Toilet not working so ahd to get dresed and go to reception and the toilets there were out of order and flooded!. Staff very helpful and polite. Room small but nice, however very very warm and air con very noisey.

"Good Location, Good Services"

We have stayed 3 nights at the The Continental, have enjoyed our stay overall. Good location that is very close to tube and the Heathrow airport, 30 minutes ride to the city by tube. Services and facilities available at hotel are excellent with free access to the gym and the pool. I particular benefit of the free internet access by using cable as I could not connect internet via wireless. Only unhappy with waking up at 5am by fire alarm (technique problem for all hotel rooms), and it had been on and off at every 15 mins or so until about early night, which was very annoying and upsetting and cant understand why it took so long to get it fixed.

"Great Service, Good Value, Brilliant Location!"

With a 12 yr old child having a room on their own for the first time we naturally had some concerns about location, security and......the mini-bar. The hotel staff were brilliant from the onset, ensuring the rooms were next door, the mini bar was cleared and addressing our every need. We found every member of staff helpful, courteous and very friendly.The hotel itself is in an ideal location just two minutes from the tube taking you straight to London. The rooms although not overly large, were bright, airy, comfortable and clean with a good size bathroom. Continental breakfast was included but we were happy to upgrade to full breakfast as it was a very reasonable price. Overall great value for money and we will definately stay there again on our next visit to London.

We did enjoy our stay, and felt it was good value, but could not help but notice signs of declining standards - e.g. handle falling off inside of shower door, sink drain partially blocked, toilet not flushing properly, some stair treads loose, etc. Also disappointed that our take-away breakfast (as we had to leave early) was a tired ham sandwich! Should have been a croissant or something fresher.

Air conditioning problems resulted in room being too hot but otherwise we found hotel met our needs for a quiet, relaxing, clean and convenient place to stay en route to Heathrow. Shops close by and pool, sauna, steam room and spa facilities were a great bonus.

Excellent hotel well worth staying at only if you stay away from their mini bar in the room, as you get charged for the stuff even if you dont use it. so if you are thinking of taking a pint of milk with you make sure you take long life as you can not use their mini bar to store it in.

"TREVOR. Our stay 6th October 2010."

Staff were very friendly and helpful,the room was too small,hardly had space to get in and out of bed,i/e tight up against the wall,room was however clean and tidy.Taking into account how much we paid £85 for room and a further £15 to park the car I don`t think it was value for money £65 for room and £10 parking would have been enough.The menu was limited,so we eat out,so not able to comment on the food.My wife and I travel a lot staying at a number of hotels,and as this is a four star we expected better.

"Definately wrth a try and a return visit!"

I had never tried this hotel before but wanted to avoid being directly in Central London. It`s a 30 minute tube ride to Piccadilly Circus from Hounslow Central (where the hotel is located).The first moment I walked into the front door of the hotel I was greeted by the manager and the front desk staff who quickly checked me in and advised I was early for normal check in time but would have my room ready for me in about 20 minutes.Having just got off an overnight flight this was certainly welcome news. The room itself was clean and neat, has a fabulous shower and internet service in the room. I had a continental breakfast included in my stay that can easily be upgraded to a full English if you are extra hungry. The food was always fresh and was certainly worth the upgrade of 4GBP for the hot breakfast.The staff in all parts of the hotel are extremely attentive, smiling and very courteous.I will be back on my next trip!

i cant really comment on the stay because the room had been flooded and the had no other rooms available but the customer service at the continental was excellent and it would have been very nice if had stayed there becuase of the the room being flooded they had booked me into another hotel and made all the arrangements which i really appreciated

A very inadequate continental style breakfast was provided with virtually no choice...sorry but rice crispies or cornflakes does not cut it...the food laid out wasn`t enough to feed hampsters let alone a room full of guests...it was the start of a busy weekend and the kitchen appeared unprepared and had already run out of basic essentials such as fresh fruit and yogurt. And the full breakfast option appeared to suffer the same lack of choice and quantity.I understand this is London but considering the suburban location parking at the Hotel was high for insecure parking.
