"Got what we paid for."
We asked if our room could be ready earlier than the normal 2pm checkin as we had to be at the theatre by 2pm. We were informed that the standard room which was part of the package was not ready and could not be ready early. However an executive room was offered immediately for an upgrade of £30! Does this happen to everybody?

We really enjoyed our stay at the xxxxx, xxxxx Square and would definitely stay there again. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The self-service breakfast was very good.

"Great Location"
This hotel was comfortable if a little small. Clean and well maintained. The breakfasts were good, but being a smaller hotel, the choices were less than some of the larger ones. The location is incredibly good, a minutes walk to xxxxx Square and 2 minutes to Leicester Square, right in the heart of the West End entertainment district. We would stay there again.

"Very disappointed with the room size which was tiny. Bed was a small double. "
Staff friendly and helpful. Mugs used at breakfast were "tired" with deep brown stains within the glaze. We had to refuse to use those set up on the table. Replacements weren`t much better. Not a good advert for the hotel.

The receptionist staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome, very please with the appearance of inside, nice a cool with a pleasant aroma, our room/bathroom were clean and adequate for our needs, overall will definitely stay there again. thank you.

Wow what a lovely stay....booked late as we decided to stay after a theater outing and it was brilliant...able to get into roomearly ,received an upgrade to a king room , staff really good and breakfast was lovely....will stay again

"Excellen location and excellent accomodation"
We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel was in a fabulous location. Everything within walking distance. The bedroom was a little on the small side but for the amount of time we spent in it, it really didnt matter. The breakfast was amazing. The choice was great. (glad it was only 3 mornings as it wasnt helping my waistline.....) All in all I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Great Location, friendly staff"
We arrived about 12:30pm the rooms were ready and we could book in early, Our room was on the 5th floor and was `compact` but very modern and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (except a bath - shower only). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The best thing was the location 2 minutes from xxxxx Square in one direction and 2 minutes to Leicester Square in the other, and the full English breakfast was pretty good as well. We booked through HotelDirect and got this hotel for £130 inc breakfast and considering the location a great bargain

"Perfectly placed for London attractions"
We really struck lucky with the special deal at £260 for 2 nights B&B for 2 people (less than half price!). Less than 5 minutes walk to Leicester Square and 10 minutes to Covent Garden but tucked down a quiet road so no problems with noise at night. The staff were all extremely friendly, helpful and polite, our standard double room was light, airy, clean and plenty big enough and the breakfast was fab! Overall a great hotel in great location, we would be more than pleased to use it again as long as we could get similar price.

"100% fabulous, friendly, helpful staff"
Very good position 1 minute walk from the National Gallery. Decor new, our room not big but 7` bed and fab shower, bathroom very small, in excellent order. Food in the evening, well not so good what I had, catch of the day was a salmon sausage! Breakfast on Saturday we had to queue and rolls and decent bread had already run out.Cooked breakfast was well cooked. Would stay there again but it didn`t qualify as a "hidden gem" and a bargain as we met other guests who booked as we had who paid less. So probably wont let myself get caught out like that again. However Hotel Direct did the booking fine but I imagine we paid a good commission on our room even though it was less that the hotel stated rate.Overall had a great couple of days

"Highly recommend this hotel."
Brilliant location, situated in quiet side road, for all the sights - Covent Garden, restaurants and West End theatres 10 mins walk away. Full and continental breakfast including fresh fruit. Eggs cooked fresh. Spotlessly clean rooms. Tea/Coffee. No bath though if you wanted a soak but too busy soaking up the sights! Would def go again.

we were upgraded upon arrival because i requested a room with a bath. room was nice with a distant view of the London eye. hotel very central. breakfast was hectic but the staff kept smiling.

"Comfortable, clean, but small. OK for the one-night though."
Wouldn`t have likedto be allocated this room for morethan one-night. We felt it was Ok for what our needs were, which was a one-night stay to go to the theatre. If were staying more than one-night we may have askedif you could have offered us a room with a little more space. The service of leaving our bag until our room was ready on the 1st day and after our check out until we were leaving to catch our train was much appreciated. The next time we go up to London it will be this that will reman as a good servie. The breakfast was very nice. Overall, we felt we just about got value for money for a single night stay.

Had a thoroughly pleasant stay, my only criticism is breakfast, there was no tomatoes, no mushrooms, no bacon and the hash browns were so overdone i could barely cut them!

"Excellent Hotel"
This is our 3rd time stay at The xxxxx xxxxx, we had an upgrade to a junior suite, which was lovely.The hotel has a car park right opposite and our favorite place Covent Garden is less than 10 minutes walk away. To me its so close to all the shops, restaurants, bars and the theatres.

"Excellent central hotel - highly recommend"
Hotel is located 5mins from Leicester Square and xxxxx Square, very central but in a very quiet street away from the hustle and bustle. We arrived in London at 10am to leave our bags with reception, however, a room was ready and we checked in. We had a standard but it was perfect. Breakfast was lovely, great choice and the cooked breakfast was not smothered in fat, lovely. Would definitely stay at this hotel again. Could not fault it.
