Hotel was excellent, staff were very helpful and the breakfast 1st class. It was perfectly situated for the Threatre. We were able to leave our luggage so we could do a bit of site seeing. I would definitely go back and recommend this Hotel to my friends and family. It made our week-end very special.

"poor staff communication"
we wasn,t offered a newspaper on booking in, on our first morning the fire alarm was activated i looked out of my room to see a cleaner, iasked if we should vacate the building ,she didn,t understand and shrugged her shoulders ,at this point a few heads had appeared at their doors, a man with a radio then walked toward me i asked what the alarm was due to the distinct lack of panic, he didn,t know, we packed our bag and went to reception to book out, by this time the alarm had stopped, i asked what it was and was told it was a regular thursday morning test and was surprised when i told her of the staffs lack of knowledge, no apology was offered. i would use the hotel again!

Our only concern was that the room information stated that bath robes would be charged to any guests wishing to take them home. The only problem was that there were no robes in the room when we arrived so we sincerely hope that no one thinks that we have taken them.

Beautifull Hotel Ideally situated for the theatreland. The staff were freindly, helpful and very professional. The food was excellent and the rooms were first class. so far the best Hotel I have stayed at in London

"Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff."
Room very comfortable, perhaps a little small, but very pleasant. Nice bathroom, fluffy towels. All very clean. Surprisingly no plug for the kettle except one on the floor by the door!

"Poor Breakfast "
Overall the stay was very good and the hotel was lovely and ideally situated for the shows. However, the breakfast was a bit of a disaster. There was no one to show us to our table when we arrived so we found out own table only to be told we couldnt have coffee or tea until we were shown to a table! A lot of the food had run out and it took ages for fresh supplies to arrive and I dont think we should be served cheap streaky bacon which was very poor quality. I also dont agree with toasting my own bread as I think this is cop out and a health and safety issue any small child could put their hand in the toasting machine and get severly burnt. However, I would use the hotel again and would recommend it.

"Surprisingly Good Experience !"
I just wanted to feedback on my recent stay at the Piccadilly Le xxxxx on Saturday (10th Dec). It was my wife`s 40th birthday treat so it was important that everything went to plan and I wasn`t disappointed. My thanks to the reception staff and concierge who kindly upgraded us to a really nice room and organised champagne and chocolates in the room. I was very pleasantly surprised to receive such good service (as is such a rarity these days from the larger hotel chains) and based on this experience I wouldn`t hesitate in returning. Thanks again to the team for a memorable stay.

"Enjoyable stay in the centre of London allowing an excellent recharging of our batteries"
We had a very enjoyable stay in the xxxxx. We were pleased and supprised to be updgraded on arrival. The rooms were spotless as you would expect in this grade of accomodation. Breakfast included gave options for all tastes and all nationalities. The location allowed us to walk very where we wanted top go. We have visited and stayed in london many times and this was again enjoyable. However i do no think we would have payed full price for the service we got if we did not have the excellent rate provided by hotels direct.

Reception speedy and efficient, staff very helpful. Bar service very good. Breakfast well presented with options to suit all tastes. One minus, awfull tea. ugh!!!! Why is it so diificult to be able to make a good cup of tea. Not just at La xxxxx. Almost everywhere hoteliers seem to use tea that produces very little colour, no body and no flavour.

Staff were very polite and helpful and our breakfast was very good. However we did have to wait well over an hour after our check in time as room was not ready, I did ask for a complimentary drink while we waited and this was given. Our room was small with no dressing table, however the beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

"Excellent Service and breakfast"
We booked a twin room. On arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a family suite. The room was large and comfort with two queen size beds. There were however, workmen renovating rooms on the corridor, but, we didn;t hear any noise and they finished work at 5.00 p.m. so we didn`t expereince any inconvienence and staff couldn`t have been more obliging and curtious and the breakfaqst was excellent.

A brilliant stay again at a fantastic hotel. The location is perfect for theatre and shopping - the perfect girls get-away. Professional and yet friendly service ... will definitely stay again.

Dissappointed that we were not informed about the closure of the Health Suite during our stay prior to arriving. However rooms were excellent, staff very helpful and curteous, would stay again.

"Great hotel"
The hotel is situated in an ideal part of London, the staff are very friendly and the hotel is very smart and comfortable. The bar is very relaxed and we had a lovely breakfast. We were upgraded from a standard to a delux room, which is always nice. Very happy to come and stay here again and would reccomend this hotel to others. We had a very enjoyable time here.

Overall stay very good but upon arrival the man booking us in at reception did not tell us anything about the faciilites within the hotel. We overheard what the hotel offered when another guest was checking-in the following morning - when we were checking out! Breakfast and service excellent. Room very nice but very small.

"Gorgeous pool. Classic Rooms very small."
There was a problem with our heater in classic room. Engineer came to fix it whilst we went out for an hour. Came back - engineer still there. ASked to change room as we didnt` want to share our expensive birthday treat with the engineer, lovely as he was. They said they would phone us back. They didn`t. I phoned them and after some persuasion they found us another room which was an upgrade and was lovely. However, it was clear that they would have rather we shared the room with the engineer which wasn`t acceptable service. Other than that the hotel is very nice, excellent location, breakfast fine but overpriced which seems to be useful. The classic rooms are really small. Deluxe room lovely but bathoroom needs updating. If you love swimming pools then this is the hotel for you.

"Great location, comfortable beds, good breakfasts, some glitches."
Room very noisy: could hear conversations and plumbing from adjoining rooms and doors banging in corridor. Also very hot as air con not working properly. However beds comfy and nice big towels. Didn`t use gym or pool but looked impressive. Courteous staff.

Excellent location by tube in central London. Room fine although bathroom tired, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast excellent although £25 for two drinks in the late bar a bit of an abuse.

Excellent breakfast. Some small problems - only one cup on tea & coffee tray in room ( for 2 people), heated towel rail not working. Not sure why it is 5 star - have stayed in 3 star hotels where the room was every bit as well furnished and as big.
